trhoads Posted December 1, 2004 Author Share Posted December 1, 2004 This occured in AuoCAD 2004. It happens when you try to open a file. Nothing fancy, just trying to open a file. It is not on my machine, and that is a good thing. It is on the oldest in the machine in the office. I think there are ghosts in that computer. I just found it amusing. Hi Tim, If you're using Viz 2005, go to the Start menu->Programs->Autodesk->Autodesk VIZ 2005->Change Graphics Mode. When (if) VIZ starts, you are offered graphics mode options. For VIZ 4, create a shortcut to VIZ and edit the Target to something like this: "C:\Program Files\Autodesk VIZ 4\3dsviz.exe" -h The "-h" switch is what does the trick. Just add it to the Target path for the shortcut properties. It has to be outside of the double quotes. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

I have 2005 and what you told me to do worked & I switched to software mode, but unfortnately as soon as Viz finished loading up it gave the the error message & closed. A big WHATEVER to that!
