Interactive Revit Model Lets Viewers Virtually Tour GKD Metal Fabrics’ HQ, Highlighting Product Applications in Office Spaces; Full Demo in Booth #2711

BALTIMORE, MD. – May 16, 2016 – At the 2016 American Institute of Architects Convention (AIA), Chaos Group and CL3VER will demonstrate how architects can turn Revit models into interactive 3D presentations for the web and VR.

The demo, a collaboration between the CL3VER and Chaos Group teams, brings a Revit-depiction of the GKD Metal Fabrics office online. Since GKD uses their own materials in their building, the model helps potential customers visualize how GKD products look in an actual office space from anywhere in the world. Using V-Ray for Revit and CL3VER, architects can now create microsites that help design and purchase decisions get made faster, with more information than a still, and quick fly-through controls.

Booth #2711 will also be the first place to see how V-Ray’s 3.x tech is making its way into upcoming versions of V-Ray 3.0 for SketchUp, Revit, and Rhino. Shared with IrisVR, ArchVision and CL3VER, the booth gives attendees a chance to explore how design and visualizations pipelines are changing. Additional demos include:

VR for Mobile, Design and Visualization - Chaos Group and IrisVR will demonstrate a simple way to take panoramic images from V-Ray for Revit and create 360 VR experiences for iOS and Android phones. Applications featuring a full range of motion and navigation will be showcased using an HTC Vive.

AVAIL (Digital Asset Management) - ArchVision's new enterprise content management solution will be on hand, showing architects a better way to manage V-Ray materials and other BIM assets across a network.
