Default Importing arcs and curved solids from CAD to Max

    Hi,
I have a little problem importing curved objects, modeled in CAD. I think there has to be a smoothing option that solves this situation. I have created an arc solid in CAD and it looks smooth enough for me, but when I import it in max it looks faceted. I have tried to play with "Curve Steps" in Import Options but apparently it is only affecting splines and not objects.

    Please help!

There is an option on the import port box to define the amount of sections you want in the curve, curve steps I think.
    Check it out.
Or just remodel it, sometimes that is much quicker.

Yes I have tried it, but it seems that it works only with splines and polylines, not solids.

you need to adjust in AutoCAD first.

You are looking for Maximum surface deviation in the import dialogue. Set it to a very low, or zero value to get smooth solids from AutoCad,
