Batch converting RAWs to JPEGs with some preset changes

Hi all,

Do you think it's possible to use Photoshop or other program to batch convert multiple RAW files into JPEGs considering it's not just the conversion that is needed but also some changes to Exposure, Contrast and so on applied to each image?

I have a whole bunch of overexposed images which I need to fix.

What I currently do is- I bring a RAW file into Photoshop, tweak some of the settings (Exposure, Contrast) in the initial dialog window, Save the settings in an .xmp file. Then I use that file to apply the same tweaked settings to each subsequent RAW file.

I tried recording an Action in Photoshop ( I recorded the process of opening the RAW file and changing the Exposure) but that only partially worked and didn't really save that much time since manual input on my part was still needed.

Many thanks for any help.
