I like to use CorelDraw X5 almost every day. But yesterday was bad day for me. I tried to open .cdr file and I couldn't by the reason of - Error reading a bitmap in the file Arch32.cdr. This message I got without any reason. I've seen it first time during my experience with CorelDraw.

Try the following guide, this method and others helpful tips were found in Google on this query repair corel draw file, you might check it out

- rename the file to ".zip "

- open the zip-file with Winzip or WinRar (these programs has a repair-function for zip)

- try to repair the file

- then extract the riffdata.cdr from content-folder of zip-file and open this file in CorelDRAW

These steps work for me.
