keyboard cowboy Posted February 15, 2005 Share Posted February 15, 2005 does any1 know, for the love of god, how to pan while creating a line in max? seems like everytime i try to pan the line breaks off and i really want to create a line over a distance greater than i can see on my screen. thanx! Surely a Keyboard Cowboy would know this Try pressing keyboard "i" - will center view where mousepointer is, even during linecreation. If this doesn't work, your keyboard shortcuts may be set up differently. Lookup the command in your manual or the help menu. Its called "Pan viewport". radii Posted February 15, 2005 Share Posted February 15, 2005 Coming from AutoCAD and Rhino, I have also been fighting the poor paning abilities in max. Would anybody know if using a Spaceball 5000 would be the answer to the dilema ? MegaPixel Posted February 15, 2005 Share Posted February 15, 2005 Perhaps there is a way to Bind the "i" shortcut to your middle mouse button (scroller) so that paning will work the same as it does in AutoCad?
