I've received files before that have rectangular regions that have openings in the middle, so when you extrude it, you are extruding only one shape & you don't have to subrtract the middle. Tim Nelson Posted February 18, 2005 Share Posted February 18, 2005 Ok, I take that back. I just figured out a way, but is basically just as much work... When you create your rectangles, you turn them both into regions. Then you can subtract the inner region even before you extrude. It then becomes one shape. Fernando Lino Posted February 18, 2005 Share Posted February 18, 2005 Tim is right, region is always the best option for solids, I also use "boundary" alot for complex shapes, I draw it with lines and you pick one point inside of the shape and Autocad will create the region or polyline for you.
