Street cross-section surfacing

Communicating new designs for streets within a development.

Conveying:

Utility locations

Walkability (Pedestrial safety)

Lane and parking areas

Working on getting earth striation looking good (not scientifically correct - just pretty).

Also, need work on getting the areas around the pipes looking better (appearance of back fill/compression)

Any help would be appreciated.

Allen,

Maybe toss some stone and vary the backfill in and around the infastrucure. I've always found when looking at excavations (real world sections ;) ), the drainage, excavated and backfilled areas tell a story and can be quite interesting. In your case maybe helping to focus some of the 'subject' matter for the illustration.

Good looking rendering!

The only Thing That bugs about The Images is The TEXT

maybe another space between 37' (and MIXED)

and make the "X" to be a small "x" with a before and after space

at the 6'X22' = 6' x 22'

just little (anal) Things, just me

This is a great way to represent The Cross Sections, way cool dude

Really effective-I especially like the middle one.

I work in the construction industry and I'm used to seeing sectional drawings/illustrations and these are really clever but adding people and cars does give the impression of a recent earthquake/landslide when you first look at it.
