Farnsworth house measurements

Hey guys,

Im a first year Architecture student studying in australia and was wondering if you know any good websites which could tell me the structural dimensions of Mies Van Der Rohe's Farnsworth house. I need this for my design technology project which requires me to draw an axonometric projection of the house's structure. I've tried everywhere but all i could get were plans of the house. I have no luck on finding sections or elevations with readable measurements. Your help would be MUCH appreciated!

just use yahoo and google...i came across a site once with CAD drawings and details..too bad that was long time ago and i forgot the site add.

There is an excellent book that is completely about the farnsworth house...including scans of the orignial drawings. So check your library.

Alternatively, greatbuildingsonline.com has some info.

I'll try to check my info when I get home this evening for soem measurements. I know its a very simple geometric breakdown.

There is a book on the Farnsworth House with all the drawings in. Its one of the "posh" Japanese journals (either GA Document or U+A?...can't remember) Me and a freind built a card model and 1:1 construction details using it although I have to confess that was back in 1990 so you may have a long, expensive search.

Scour your library and you might get lucky.

yes, i to am a first year in uni and have 2 complete a scale model and drawings, ani1 know aniwere 2 get the measuements, iv lookd around and am yet 2 find aniting useful

Thats some horrible spelling! The prior post gave you all the info you should need. That issue of GA Detail has everything you need.
