    Default what's d cause?

    *guys..im using old vray v.1.09.03N..i have this WIP, a lobby with a dome. there's only one light source in the scene, free-point light with vray shadows. my problem is why there's some dark spots on the cornice. the object is a line-then bevel profile-with UVW map...pls help ..thnx!

    Make sure your irradiance map settings are high enough. It looks like it's a GI thing.

    *im still doing some test, so my set is LOW, you mean if i increase the setting to MEDIUM or HIGH maybe, it will be eliminated?

    Yeah, first thing you might try is setting the "interp samples " to a higher number, the default is 20, try 30 or 40. This will kind of smooth out the irradiance map.

    *first image, IM setting: MEDIUM, second image, IM setting: HIGH, both interp. samples:40 and HSpH. Subdv: 10, it doesnt make a diff , same spots are coming..

    Your Hsph Subdv's are way to low... they need to be around 30 or 50 and your interpolated samples need ot be around 50 or 60
