  1. Preface: For some reason I cannot see the image you attached. However, without seeing it, I know that you can exclude the "wavy glass thingy at the floor" from the lighting, so it does not create the reflections your boss does not like. It could be done a few ways. The first being to select the object, right click, and go to properties. In that menu there is an option to exclude from global illumination. This likely will still leave your relfections. You also could adjust the far attenuation of the pinlight light sources, so it stops light before it hits the glass thingy. Another way would be to select the material for the glass thingy in the materials editor and flag it as opaque. Also, you could change the light source to "ambient only", however that will mean the light will not cast any of the shadows you're looking for. I would adjust the far attenuation of the lights until the reflections look like you want. Good luck.
  2. Have you changed the camera lens at all? I imagine once you've got the camera location pretty close you will have to adjust the camera lens to duplicate what the photographer did in the shoot. Check the resolution of the original image to give you an idea of the aspect ratio.
  3. 3Ds Max Design 2013 Backburner 2013 I am having issues pre-calculating FG and GI maps for a 240 frame animation I intend to render. I need to use the "one file per frame" mode of calculation because the camera is static, however geometry and lighting conditions change during the animation. I have read that it is possible to use Backburner to do the pre-calculation of the FG and GI maps. However I cannot get it to work properly. I send it to Backburner, and it flys through the calculations, but does not save anything. I have it set to read/write only, with "caculate fg/gi only and skip final render" checked. I also am running both 3Ds and Backburner as administrator, as that was one suggestion I read. I also tried calculating the FG and GI separately as well as together. I have assigned it to "all servers" and only one servers both ways as well. What am I missing? Any suggestions? Thanks
