  1. hi h r u ? ur render is very nice

  2. I watched a tv show last night that showed a house by an architect called Ray Kappe. I had never heard of him over here in France, but the house I saw on television was a true masterpiece of architecture. Does anyone know where I can read more about this house or where I can see some photos , floor plans, elevations, anything? When will american architects start exporting there way of designing homes and living space? I think we europeans would have a lot to learn from them in this area!
  3. Thx William I tried out what you explained in your post and I was able to create a simple array (something I couldn't do half an hour ago!) I'm also going to check out the links you posted. Thanks again for your help!
  4. This is probably not the best place to get help with this subjet, but I just can't seem to find an answer to my problem anywhere else. What is the syntaxe for creating an array formula in a parametric family in Revit? The help files that come with Revit do not explain this!
  5. Have you tried the Revit training files that you can download at Autodesk.com?
  6. Thx Alexander Your absolutely right! The "display as box" checkbox was checked in object properties. I could have spent all night trying to figure it out and I wouldn't have thought of that. My problem was that I was looking for something complicated when the the solution was actually very simple! Once again thx
  7. Proxy? I didn't think of that! But... If it was a proxy object I would need to have an external file to be able to render it and all I have is the one max file.
  8. I have a max file of a box. When i select the box, max tells me that it is an editable poly but I don't have access to any of the sub objects. When I render it, max renders out a bush. In my material editor, if I extract the material from the box, I get a simple texture with no maps except the diffuse. I'm completely lost, I can't seem so understand what's going on or how it was created. I don't want to ask the person who sent it to me because I'm the one who's supposed to know how to work with max. Can anyone help me out on this? Thx
  9. http://www.vrayelite.com - They have some excellent tutorials over at this site
  10. I personally export from Revit to Dwg as solids for one simple reason: In autocad I clean up my model before importing it into Max. I use boolean operations for this. I also organize my layers.
  11. Do you do that before creating your model in autocad, after or it doesn't matter?
  12. At least we recognize those who have lots of work and deadlines and those who don't! lol

    Grass roof

Looks more like a thatched roof to me!
  14. Have you tried using Vray displacement?
  15. Sounds simple enough! I'll give it a try. Thx Arnold
