Hi guys, I'm new on 3ds max, and I'm following some tutorials, I'm stuck with this sweep modifier, I've made a spline path on my walls, but the thing is, when I apply a sweep modifier to do my trim, as you see on the screen shot, one part is right, and the other instead is flipped. thank you

Thank you for the answer. I was trying to figure out how to apply a bitmap on the top view, but I figured it out, so from there I have followed with your tip using the splines! Thanks again.

I just noticed that I was creating them in an another layer! This was really a beginner mistake, sorry for bothering!

Yes my layer is visible. I've pressed shift+s and nothing happens. I pressed H and I've activated "Display Hidden Objects" and now all the splines I've created appear there. I've tried double clicking one, I now see it in the modify tab but can't see it selected in the viewports. And if I try to select it from there (from the viewport) it just selects my wall (editable poly).

Yes it shows up - I click on "linear" then confirm and it's at that point that nothing happens. I'll post a screenshot asap

Hi guys. I'm an aspiring interior designer from Italy, currently learning 3DS Max. I'm following a Digital Tutor tutorial and I'm trying to solve a problem I really can't figure out by myself. The teacher tells me to select the edges of the upper part of the walls I've created, then click on "Create shape from selection" in order to convert the edges to splines. The problem is that nothing happens in my project. I correctly select all the edges, click on create shape from selection but I don't have any new shape. I also click H and it tells me that, apart from the existing elements, there are no newly created ones. Is this a bug? Or am I missing something? Thank you Jaqueline
