  1. Can you blur the edges on edge texture? So the lines aren't so defined?

    Vray material

Any ideas how i could create this material? Need the centre of an object to glow but all the edges to be darker!
  3. I've been asked to use this stonework on an exterior image i'm doing. Any help on how I could make the seamless and tileable? I've tried but keep getting a repeat. Any help would be appreciated!
  4. Does anyone know how to load up the DLL's?
  5. okay I will try that, any idea how you manually select their install locations? In the plug in info, I just noticed it is saying DLL is not loaded (for example vray color, vray physical cam)
  6. I have installed vray 2.40.03 for max 2014. But I am having the problem of not being able to drag vray materials from the material slot to an object. I also can't just attach them. Items such as vray colour don't show up on a sphere in the mat ed as they should, it appears as a flat colour filling up the box slot. Vray has obtained the license and I have assigned vray as the material editor standard. Any help would be much appreciated!
  7. Im just about to buy a new computer, i use 3ds max, vray, revit, after effects. I need to make sure i will be able to open/work on large scenes and also render on my machine. Here is the spec, let me know your thoughts (if this would handle my needs) Intel Core i7 3770K Quad Core Asus P8H77-V LE Motherboard Kingston 32GB RAM (4 x 8GB) Seagate 1TB 7200RPM Hard Drive 2GB Asus GeForce GTX680 ATX Case with 650Watt PSU Windows 8 Professional 64Bit
  8. Thanks for your opinion, everyone seems to say that Nvidia is the best option. I have used AMD and with 3ds max and certain things don't seem to work, like verts not showing up etc... in the viewport. (which i read is down to the graphics card)
  9. I'm looking to get a new computer as my current one is stuggling to cope with the demands. I use 3ds max and vray, and need a computer which can handle large scenes and also render (at a decent speed) option 1 -intel core i7 2700k 3.50ghz -16gb ram -64bit -558 gb hard drive -AMD firepro v79000 garphics card option 2 -iMac -3.2 ghz quad core intel core 5 -8gb 1600mhz ddr3 memory -1tb hard drive -nvidia geforce gtx 675 mx 1 gb graphics card -bootcamp Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated.
  10. Hi Guys, I'm having a problem opening large detailed files and rendering barely anything on my computer. It used to be okay, but recently im struggling to do anything. I'm using 3ds max 2012 and vray 1.5 I'm currently using a quad core laptop. The rough spec is: Processor - Intel Core 2 Quad Q9000 Hard drive - 500gb Memory - 4096mb DDR2 Graphics Card - ATI Mobility Radeon HD4670 1GB I've got 240gb free on the hard drive. Any help or information on what i can do/need would be much appreciated!!
