velvet elvis, looks good for a solution, but unless I can be steered through the thorny area of maxscript, then Im non the wiser. Can anyone offer a path through deleting tracknotes via maxscript or any other way, if it works - I have shed loads of files lost to the tracknote monster!

tracknotes, sounds hideous. I looked at the link and its pointing me towards the dark area of maxscript. Is there a step by step way of getting through this - maxscript looks a bit scary and the link seems to presume some experience, which, I have not.

im running max design 12 + vray - 64bit. Files are growing in size without any apparent reason, simple scene with a selection of primitives, no Booleans or proxies -can grow to 250 meg in size. If I delete the entire scene, so there is no geometry in the file, the size still stays at the large size. Any ideas what is happening? puzzled... and frustrated.
