  2. Hello Dimitri; I am not a computer expert in fact i know very little and that is why i come to this forum. The 6800K is more expensive than the 6700K. My last render machine had a lga2011 and something broke either the cpu or the mobo but no one has this in Thailand and i have no way to find out wich of the two is not working that is why i chose the 6700K. If you say the 6800k is better for rendering in vray and 3ds max i will go for that because the do have lga2011-v3 here in thailand. Asus Z170-A i am not sure i can get have to check but they have available the MAINBOARD 1151 ASUS Z170 PRO GAMING would that work or better wait for the Z170-A? Thanks
  3. Hello everyone; I have to build a new render machine and decided to use the gtx1080 (VGA ASUS STRIX GTX1080 A8G GAMING) as my GPU. I already have case and the computer will be used with CAD, 3ds Max and Vray. Now I need some help choosing the CPU and MOBO, any help would be greatly appreciated. CPU: now looking at: INTEL 1151 CORE I7 6700K 4.0 GHz INTEL 2011 XEON E5-2620 V4 2.1GHz Would a SAMSUNG 512GB M.2 2280 SSD 950 PRO SERIES (MZ-V5P512BW) make a big difference against SAMSUNG 500GB M.2 2280 SSD 850 EVO SERIES (MZ-N5E500BW) I have a Quadro k4000 any chance of paring the GTX and the quadro? This is what i am currently looking at: Components Processor (CPU)* INTEL 1151 CORE I7 6700K 4.0 GHz Motherboard* MAINBOARD 1150 ASUS MAXIMUS-VIII-IMPACT or MAXIMUS VIII EXTREME ASUS vs MSI vs ASRock vs Gigabyte? wich is better? Video Card* VGA ASUS STRIX GTX1080 8G GAMING 256 BIT Memory (RAM)* 32 GB RAM PC DDR4 / 2400 G.SKILL RIPJAWS (8x4). Storage HDD 2.0 TB HDD WD SATA-3 64 MB BLACK Storage SSD 512 GB SSD SAMSUNG 950 PRO M.2 Case THERMALTAKE URBAN S71 Full tower Power Supply* POWER SUPPLY CORSAIR HX850I (80+PLATINUM) Thanks in advance.
  4. Hello everyone; Once again needing help from the great people on this forum. I am currently building a computer to use for CAD and Rendering in 3ds max and Vray Before looking at the rest of the components i want to decide on the Video Card? the only Quadro i can buy in Thailand is the Quadro K4200 and i have not read good things about it. So the question is what would be better? Titan vs gtx1070 vs GTX 1080? Price difference between the titan or GTX1080 and the gtx 1070 is big but dont mind spending the extra money if it would make a big difference performance wise. Thank!

  7. Hello a few years ago Dimitris; helped me with my first and only computer build, it worked perfect but died on me recently. I cannot find a LGA 2011 processor of motherboard in thailand, so basically i dont know if the motherbord is dead or the processor. it is almost impossible to find a lga 2011 mobo for sale and i dont want to spend that money and then find out it is the processor or vice versa. I am stuck now with an nvidia K4000, i want to pair it now with a gtx card or any that you can recommend me for the new build. if you think that is a good way to go i am looking at this for the moment from pcfoo: • Intel Core i7-6700K Skylake Processor (8M Cache, up to 4.20 GHz) • Cooler Master V650 Semi-Modular 650W Power Supply 80 PLUS Gold • Asus Z97-A Socket LGA1150 / Z97 / 4 x DDR3 / 4 x SATA 6Gbs / ATXNoctua • NH-D15 Dual Tower CPU Air Cooler • Kingston HyperX Fury 16GB (2x8GB) DDR3 1866MHz CL10 Non-ECC DIMM Blue • Samsung 250GB 2.5″ SSD 850 Evo Series • Asus nVidia Turbo GeForce GTX960 4GB GDDR5 OC (TURBO-GTX960-OC-4GD5) Plus the Nvidia Quadro K4000 hope you gus can help Thanks
  8. Finally putting the computer together over this weekend. Now the question is Windows 7 Pro 64 or Windows 8 Pro 64. For what Dimitris explains there have been complains on Windows 8. Do you guys think all major issues have been fix and it is actually better to get the windows 8 now? or Windows 7 is still the best option? Thanks again for the help
  9. Hello; After an unexpected problem i can now start to build my computer but i have a simple question. Is there any substantial difference between gskills tridentx, gskill sniper or Corsair Dominator Platinum? i am looking at the sniper because it is the least expensive, however if there is an important difference i am willing to spend the extra bucks. CORSAIR DOMINATOR PLATINUM 16GB 1866MHZ DDR3 NON-ECC DIMM (2X8GB) (CMD16GX3M2A1866C10) Most expensive G.SKILL [TRIDENTX 16GB 2400MHZ DDR3 NON-ECC DIMM XMP (2X8GB) (F3-2400C10D-16GTX) G.SKILL [sNIPER] 16GB 2133MHZ DDR3 NON-ECC DIMM XMP (2X8GB) (F3-2133C10D-16GSR) Least expensive Thanks again
  10. Hello guys, it has been an adventure to find all parts for the computer, i think i found all parts except for the ram. I dont find a 32 g pack, is there any difference or problem if i buy 2 packs of 16 g? Thanks
  11. Hello Dimitri. Unfortunetly the place where i am ordering the parts just confirmed me they can only find the p9x79. Is this ok or i should just keep looking?
  12. Thanks again Dimitris, yes for the price difference i can buy a very good wifi N card. I think i am ready to place the order! Thank you very much i will keep you guys postes with the developments on this computer. You will be hearing again from me, for sure i will have more questions. This will be my first time to put a computer together. Thanks for the info Numerobis, but the Ws i can not find here in Thailand! Thanks to all you guys who helped me on this.
  13. Sorry i made a mistake i ordered the i7 3990K. Should i get the pro or the deluxe mobo? Tx
  14. Dear Dimitri; As per Javier Advise i try to build my pc following your advice from the forum and from PC foo, most of the products i can find over here some not as the noctua or other coolers. As of now i think i have everything ready except for a few questions. Once answered i think i could place the order for the remaining parts. 1- Nvidia K4000. 2- CPU: Intel Core i7-4770K ordered already! 3- Cpu cooler: THERMALTAKE WATER 2.0 EXTREME LIQUID CPU COOLING (CLW0217) Thermaltake confirm it will fit in the S71 case. 4- Motherboard: P9X79 Pro or Deluxe? I dont have a Lan internet connection, only WIFI that is why i am thinking about the Deluxe. does that sound ok to you guys? also the difference in price is not much. 5- Ram: will get 32 GB still not sure which ones. 6- Storage: SSD Samsung 840 Pro 256 GB Ordered already 7- WD Caviar Black 2T Ordered already 8- Corsair AX 860i Ordered already 9- LG GH24NS SUPERMULTI 24X DVD-RW SATA DRIVE 10- Case: Thermaltake Urban S71 full-tower: 11-Operating system: This computer will be mostly for cad and max, which Operating system do you recommend the best for this? Am i missing any part for the final built? Thanks again!
  15. So for now my system will look like this: 1- Nvidia K4000. 2- CPU: Intel Core i7-4770K ordered already! 3- Cpu cooler: COOLER MASTER HYPER 412 SLIM CPU COOLER (RR-H412-16PK-R1) or Hydro H100? 4- Motherboard: ASROCK FATAL1TY Z87 PROFESSIONAL SOCKET LGA1150 / Z87 / 4 X DDR3 / 10 X SATA 6GB/S / ATX. Should i look for Asus or other brand? 5- Ram: G.skill ripjaws x series 16gb 2X8 6- Storage: SSD Samsung 840 Pro 256 GB Ordered already 7-Storage: SEAGATE BARRACUDA 7200.14 2TB SATA 6GB/S 7200RPM 64MB CACHE 3.5" (ST2000DM001) Ordered already 8- Corsair AX 860i Ordered already 9- LG GH24NS SUPERMULTI 24X DVD-RW SATA DRIVE (BULK) i think i need this to install everything. Can i use an external cd/dvd drive?. It is probably a stupid question, please forgive me! For the case i was looking at this: Thermaltake Urban S71 full-tower: http://th.thermaltake.com/products-model.aspx?id=C_00002049 If this case is good i think i can use the Hydro H100, or should i look for another cooler? thanks again for your help guys!
