  1. I can't download it at the moment...but can you maybe clarify what you are struggling with? It's not suppose to be that difficult.
  2. Hi guys, I'm getting that message of "warning: Texture map #1234 caused an exception". The scene is very big and I've went through my material library but can't seem to find the bugger. Is there maybe like a script or something that could help find this map? It's influencing my render times badly... Any help will be appreciated! Thanks
  3. Hi all, I'm having the following warning when I'm rendering: "warning: Texture "Map #12514780" caused an exception." Is there a script or something available to find this map? The scene is very big with alot of maps which makes it very difficult to find. Any help will be appreciated! Thanks in advance
  4. Thanks for your quick reply Morne! It's just a normal black & white bitmap. No the #123 was just to help explain. I'm using a box with no realworld scale at the moment. So I tried your method of just sticking the jpg to the "VrayColor2Bump" and then to the vray material's bump slot and it seems to work! Thank you very much!
  5. Hi all, So I've come across this warning while I'm rendering bricks for an interior scene. The material has a bump map and a UV map on it. The bump value is also on default(30). The warning says: "warning: Texture "Map #123" returned an invalid bump normal..." I've googled this quite a few times and haven't reached a solution on it yet. Can anyone help me please? Seeing as this really influences my rendering times. Any help will be appreciated.
  6. Thank you for your quick response! I will look into that thank you!
  7. Hi guys, Was wondering if you guys can please help me. I'm currently working on a scene with about 4M polys. When I isolate objects my fps is 100+ but when I go back to the main scene it falls to 4-5 fps. Is there a way to optimize the viewport or quality because I can't work in that lag especially if there is fine detail to be done. Any help will be appreciated! If it's my PC can you maybe just tell me what needs to upgraded for a better result My setup is: - 8GB RAM DDR3 - 2.67 GHz i5 (this could be overclocked if needed to 3.2 GHz) - 64 bit OS Windows 8 - Working on 2013 3ds Max - AMD Radeon HD 5770 Series - Memory clock speed: 800 MHz GDDR5 - Memory data rate: 3.2 Gbps GDDR5 Thanks in advance!
