  1. Autodesk Design Review for dwf file: http://usa.autodesk.com/adsk/servlet/pc/index?siteID=123112&id=18520222 Can't help you with sketch-up.
  2. Try reviewing this: http://www.cgarchitect.com/content/posts/legacy/VisualizationInsider/Week22/VI_Week22.pdf It's from Week 22 - Preparing AutoCAD Linework and the data set is here along with other tutorials: http://www.cgarchitect.com/2012/02/the-visualization-insider
  3. The following link may offer a little more information on that subject: http://area.autodesk.com/blogs/garyd/quick-fix---3ds-max-2013-state-sets-and-network-rendering
  4. That means the layer is empty! No objects on that layer and you can delete it within layer manager if you choose.
  5. The reason why the block reference entities won't move to the new layer (despite the fact the block may reside on the layer of your choice) is because the entities (lines, etc.) resided on a layer other than 0 when the block was created. If you know how to use the block editor, you can change all the entities in the block to layer 0, or simply explode the block, move the entities to layer 0 and re-create the block.
  6. Question 1: I can't answer without know what the icon is. What is the column header where the greyed is located? It may be that the layer is just frozen or turned off.. Question 2: At the command prompt, type: pickadd and press enter, then type 1. It sounds like pickadd it set to 0 (which is off, meaning you can only select one item to move, rotate...) Question 3: At the command prompt type: osnap and press enter. Now you can select multiple osnap options. Sounds like only endpoint is checked.
  7. I purchased one of their collections years ago (see attached), and they said they were in the process of updating their models to max format. The one I purchased came in 3ds, obj and dxf formats. I talked with them over the phone back then, so you might try calling the number listed on the website to see if they are still in business.
  8. Have you looked here? http://artrecon.com/
  9. Commodore 64. Then I moved up to the big league: A custom built DOS PC to run AutoCAD v2.4 which shipped on 6 or 7 5 1/4" Floppy disk with an Amber CRT! My first 3D drawing was a closed polyline of a floor plan extruded... I was hot snot..LOL!
  10. Justin, The the zoom about mouse center has been moved to CUI->mouse tab.
  11. You have to be logged in as Administrator and not just have administrative rights for many settings to remain in effect.
  12. Aubrey, I've attended several meetings and there was never a fee to attend.
  13. Aubrey, I was wondering the same thing, but I found it! Go to the forum home and look under the last forum and you will find it!
