  1. Hello, My team is getting bigger and for 3Ds Max 2024 sometimes we share the same files imported in a Master Scene using Xref scenes. Sometimes different members need to work on the same Xref file for different reasons but this workflow create flaws of multiple copies of the same Xref file. Is there any chance similar to Revit or Rhino to have a notification of "File is already open for editing by another user" so I can ask the person is using the file to save, close and pass me the file? Thanks a lot!

  3. Hello, I'm rendering an animation with DR in 3DS+Vray of 300 frames. I calculate before the LC and the IM and then I run the final render process through the DR. Vray starts rendering alright the first 20/30 frames but after that, the DR start failing to render all the VrayProxies (I have many Proxies for trees and furniture). Basically, you will see the proxies missing in some buckets after some frames rendered perfectly. Everything is merged in scene so NO XREF scene or objects. Once I spot the DR making a mess with the frames, I if stop the process and I just try to re-render the failing frame (without touch anything in the scene or in the settings), it cames out perfectly with no problems. do you have any idea what's going on ?????

  5. Hello, I have a problem: some weird voids in the vray shadow pass. After a first look might be some nodes are not working properly in the DR but the voids don't match with the buckets and some of them show a a bit of shadow. The scene is lite by a vraysun+HDRIdomelight. any idea???? thanks!
  6. The issue is SOLVED but I have no idea how I made it. I will tell you all the changes I have done since the problem came out till now. The blocky area in the VRAYsaplerate pass was effecting just the floor. Due a design decision I reduced the tiling size in the floor and tweaked a bit the UVWmap to a different size. I restarted the machine and the the issue has gone and the render timing seems a bit quicker. TECHNOLOGY MISTERY thanks again for your help!!!!
  7. it also happens when I render just with the local machine All the external files (XREFscene, materials, proxies) are through the network (\\machine_name\folder\filename) I tried to restart the local machine and render without DR and the blocky samplerate pass seems less intense but still not totally solved
  8. Hello, if you check the Vray_SampleRate pass attached there are some funny artifacts on the floor (there is a vraydisplacement modifier applied to it). The RGB pass is quite ok but if I zoom in in some points I can see the gap between the stains. It not depends by the bucket size because the dimension is much smaller than the stains. What do you think is a solution to avoid that stains?????
  9. Hello, I have to render a plan-cut with a basic material + Glass (something for graphic concepts) . To read better the geometry I applied a VrayToon effect and cutting the geometry with a a VrayClipper The problem is: when I render the geometry is cutted but the VrayToon is coming out like having the whole geometry. Is there any solution???? Attached you can find a very simply scenes to understand what's going on. VrayToon and VrayClipper settings are by default.
