Thanks Dande, I had read Ted's articles 1 to 3 on lofting...3 doesn't touch the subject of orientation. 1 does that mildly but not in-depth per se... Maybe 2 does, but for some reason, I can't find it on the cgarchitect network anymore...any help, any one?

Hi guys, Can anyone point me in the direction of a decent max lofting tutorial [or explain if you can]. I understand that the if get shape is used as a method of lofting, the pivot point of the shape attaches itself to the first point of the path but getting the orientation of the shape to work along the path is a nightmare... The help file says the "the path tangent is aligned with the shape's local Z axis."....but I can"t figure it out... any help would be appreciated. Thanks. NA

stan,thanks......the client said she wanted lights hidden around the cladding of the column [i guess i botched that up a bit].... karolis...i probably should increase the intensity of my skylight or raise the angle of my sun to clear that....i guess the wall must have been casting a shadow from the sun...causing the dark outside

karolis, thanks, in that view...the camera is placed directly in front of a window so the daylight is coming from behind the camera...and the material for the window frames ios promaterials aluminium.....don't know why it didn't come out good...will look into it.... strat, for the life of me, i don't know why i had the kink...the floor is modelled flat and my uvw map was okay....it nearly ran me crazy [3dmax against me conspiracy....i'll tell u about that later]....and the submission deadline was running.....

some new interior images i produced....comments and crits are welcome...all done in mental ray.....the first 2 were colour options for the lobby space, while the last is the living room space.

also finished 2 high rise office buildings too....crits and comments are welcome
