  1. Hi everyone, Im back in this forum once again... with a problem. First question: I would like to know how are these "Hatches / Patterns" created? I tried using Photoshop but I am not able to get the Hatches / Patterns flow so naturally and accurately with the contours.... Hope someone can guide me please... Lastly: I am really wondering how do people draw these type of drawings for their architecture project! I really dont think it is drawing by lines one at a time! Anyone knows how are these "Line" figures drawn?
  2. I will be doing lots of rendering... Using 3DMax and Sketchup + Vray. Lots of it.
  3. For this new laptop (Windows), I will be downloading ALL Autodesk Suite, PS, Ai, Rhino, Sketchup Pro, Revit, 3D Max, AutoCAD and ArchiCAD etc... Will this laptop be good enough for it? I'm planning on using it for like 5-years... I will be getting the: DELL Inspiron 15 7000 (7567). http://www.dell.com/sg/p/inspiron-15-7567-laptop/pd#secondaryContent&overrides=w5171511spcsgw10:11~10P64EA Specs: - 16GB DDR4 Memory, - Windows 10 Pro, - 4GB GDDR5 NVIDIA, - i7-7700HQ Processor, - Dual Drives with 256GB SSD and 1TB 5400 rpm Hard Drive. Can I safely conclude that this Laptop will be good to support ALL (listed above and maybe MORE) softwares I listed and last me a good few years...?
  4. So is the laptop specs I posted be good with a 5-years intensive and heavy duty architecture work?
  5. Okay, I had decided on getting an ASUS ROG G752VS. Almost 99.9% confirmed. But will the ASUS ROG G752VS be a good laptop to work on renderings, heavy duty draftings etc? The Specs of it is as follows: Processor: Intel® Core ™ i7-7700HQ (6M Cache, 2.8GHz to 3.8GHz) OS: Windows 10 Home Chipset: Mobile Intel® CM238 Express Chipset Memory: 16GB (8GB * 2) DDR4 2133MHz Screen: 17.3 "LED Backlit / Slim / 300nits / Full HD (1920x1080 / 16: 9) / Anti-Glare / NTSC: 72% / IPS Graphics: NVIDIA® GeForce® GTX1070 Storage: 256GB SSD M.2 PCIEG3x4 1TB 7200rpm SATA Optical Unit: DVD 8X Supermulti, Double Layer [sATA] Card Reader: SD / MMC Camera: HD (720p) Wireless network: 802.11ac (Dual band) Bluetooth: 4.1 Network: 10/100/1000 Mbps Interface4 x USB 3.0 1 x USB-C 3.1 (Gen 2) with Thunderbolt 1 x Headphone Output (S / PDIF) 1 x Headphone Output 1 x Microphone Input 1 x RJ45 LAN connector 1 x HDMI 1 x mini DisplayPort 1 x Power Input Audio: Built-in Stereo Speaker Microphone Built-in Array Built-in Majestic Sound subwoofer Battery: 96Wh, 8 Cells, Lithium Ion Power Adapter: 230W AC adapter; Output: 19.5V DC, 11.8A; Input: 100 ~ 240V AC, 50 / 60Hz universal Dimensions: 416 x 322 x 20 ~ 49 mm Weight: 4.3 kg (with 8 cell battery)
  6. Please pardon me. I am extremely noob when it comes to Laptop specifications. But below is roughly what I am looking for. Is that gonna help with the course? ASUS ROG (no idea which model too, but definitely a ASUS ROG): - With i7-6800 / 77xx and ABOVE. - 32GB Ram (the more the better). - With SSD (C-Drive is in SSD). - Graphic card Nvidia 1080. - Screen size between 15 and 17 inches. - Good cooling system (?) Is the above good enough to handle ALL aspect of Rendering, Drafting, Production etc of heavy duty work from Architecture School? (Includes softwares like SketchUp, Revit, AutoCAD, ArchiCAD, 3D Max, Vray for ALL, Adobe Suite etc)... Will be using it as a workstation. Heavy Duty portable Workstation. Will this be good enough?
  7. Right now, I tried exporting my Sketchup TO-SCALE 3m x 3m x 3m (With height of 3m too) Cube model to 2d Graphic then DWG. BUT it turns out that It is not to scale! I checked the unit settings and all on BOTH AutoCAD and SU. None of it worked. Why is this so? How can I troubleshoot this? I tried exporting as 3D Model then DWG and the scale turns out accurate on AutoCAD though! Someone please help... How can I make it to-scale to export as 2D Graphic then DWG... Add-on: I did set my sketchUp as Parallel-View then Standard then Iso view. Just that whenever I export it as 2D Graphic>DWG it will NOT be to-scale / accurate on Autocad. Whereas when I export it to 3D Model, it will be to-scale, BUT not the illustration-effect Iso I wanted above... Please help!
  8. Well, I am learning Sketchup... How I wish similar tutorial for Sketchup exist. I am trying to replicate the EXACT same effect of the images I posted above, via Sketchup Pro 2016, PS and AI. Yet I am extremely stuck. SPECIFICALLY at how did he achieve that WHITE/PLAIN Trees and Human Silhouette. I want to know how did he put that in from Sketchup and export it 2D to such effect for the trees and Humans. Because I tried using PHOTOSHOP to do up the tree but it will take quite a long time, considering I have to make sure it seats correctly and accurately between the buildings etc. So back to the same question... How do I export a sketchup model together with the White Trees and Human Silhouette as such?
  9. Okay. Right now I have ZERO IDEA how did they get those White/Plain Trees and Human Figures in the model like this: Do you guys know? How do I get all these humans / trees which is entirely white in Sketchup.
  10. So it is not a rendering? Like, do you need to render to get such effect? Or did the person just literally did up that model, adjusted the style and went to screenshot it?
  11. Anyone knows how are all these "Line-Art" style of rendering are created? What is the steps to achieve this looks? Including the plain, flat and white Trees and Human Figures... It has been troubling me for YEARS how do Architecture student do it! These are the 5 images that I need to know roughly how it is created - I need a rough idea of how it's done. It doesn't have to be a clear explanation. Just rough run through will do... Like what softwares, the sequence of processing the work from 1 software to another etc... 1) 2) 3) 4)
  12. Hi, Thank you so much for everything.. BUT, I am still unable to get the effect like the Museum u had shown... The following is my setting + Renders (Test): Renders:
  13. I tried what u had said and the rays just doesn't show anything at all... I had tried different tutorials according to youtube and everything just turns out disappointing (Doesn't work at all). Settings: Result:
