  1. Thanks Francisco! The showcase was is really the workstation but I set a wide enough angle to incorporate the space. As for the blacks, I think I let it slip from me during post. I'm a photogapher and tend to tweak my curves to get that sightly milky (retro) look. The thing is, in ding that, I have to make the dark areas really darker for the effect to be noticable. Might just have to use a new PP technique where arch viz is comcerned. Thanks for the tip on the materials! Still trying to figure out what each of those things do (samples, subdivs etc.). Surely will be looking intoit from now. Thanks again Francisco!
  2. Studio/Institution: Valdano Visuals Client: Personal Genre: Residential Interior Software: Sketchup + V-Ray Description: Here's a room I did based on an image I saw in a magazine. It's purely for learning purposes as i'm trying to familiarize myself more with v-ray for Sketchup. Was using Lumion previously (at work) but realized it can't offer me exactly what i'm looking for (no bad mouth to Lumion useres). Comments would be greatly appreciated no matter how harsh. Need some pointers as to what to look out for. I've been paying attention to the finer details like depth netween the bricks, light falloff, refectivity and a few other stuff. Thanks in advance. Val.
  3. Love the render. Great job! Really good piece of architecture in play as well. The design of the building is amazing.
  4. I'm not a master on v-ray and that light cache is really annoying when dealing with the curtains as you mentioned... Looking forward to seeing the feeback. Doesn't look too bad. SketcUp's sharp edges always seem to annoy me though
  5. Looks okay. Nothing fancy but still clean. Don't know what kind of look or feel you were trying to achieve so it's a bit hard to give feedback. If it's photo-realism, then i'd say it could take some more work... But if it's to get an idea of what the structure should look like at the end of construction then i'd say it's a good go.
  6. Hey Miroslav, sorry for the late reply. Well, here'swhat I do. I'm not an architect and i'm also fairly new to Architectural Viz. I have this app on my ipad that i boughht for about 2.99 called 'modern houseplans'. There are many though... There's one for spanish house plans, beachfronts, gerogian etc. from there, I model the plans just as I would if I was approached by an architect. From there it's on to the render. I suppose the people who upload ready made models expect persons to use them so I don't think there would be much of a problem but maybe you can make a footnote stating the person(s) who created the model. Hope I was of help. Cheers, Valdano
