  1. Hi all, Im hoping someone can help me out here. Im not sure why, but my Rhino/Vray file is crashing over and over after about 4-5 minutes, no matter how much I dumb down the model/settings. Its usually around the same time, about 50-75% through the actual rendering process. Up to that point it is running smoothly. All of a sudden I get the message that Rhinocerous 32-bit has stopped working and if I want to look online for a solution. This is very weird because up to this morning this file has been working fine. I was able to put out 2 renderings yesterday from the same file, with no issues. Ive tried restarting the computer a couple times but no luck. Im somewhat limited on what kind of technical things I do as this is a school lab computer (no administrative capabilities to us students). I've reduced the file from 200mb to 150mb with no change in result. Nothing was changed in the render settings. Can someone shine a little light on a poor student with limited resources? Cheers, -BC
  2. Hi All Hopefully this isn't a double-post, I thought the other one had gone through but can't seem to find it. I'm somewhat-new to Vray and am trying to create a scene. I have a gravel-texture that I downloaded from flying architecture (top left of : http://www.flyingarchitecture.com/materials-stone/). I've applied it to a nurbs-surface representing a drape over contours, and for some reason the gravel is now protruding straight up, like stalagmites (stalagtites? whichever one points up). I've attached an image that would hopefully clarify a bit. Its Vray 2.0 for Rhino. I've tried forum-searching and troubleshooting a couple things but with no success. I feel like there's some setting somewhere that I've changed by accident. Any help is much appreciated. Cheers, -BC
  3. Hi All, I'm new to the forum and have tried a couple searches to no avail - figured I would give posting a try here. I'm somewhat new to Vray and trying to improve my skills (currently studying M.Arch). For some reason when I applied a loose rock material to a surface it has started giving me what look like stalagmites (stalagtites? whatever ones point up). I'm not exactly sure what the problem is, I tried a couple troubleshoots but couldn't figure it out. If anyone can point me in the right direction it would be much appreciated. (image attached). Its Vray 2.0 for Rhino. The material was downloaded from here, top left: http://www.flyingarchitecture.com/materials-stone/ Cheers, -BC
