    File Archiving

    I'm often make directories like that: MAIN -Textures -Proxy -Ref -dwg -XRef *.max are placed in MAIN directory. So archive all move to next place, open it, simply ignore all the warnings go straight to File-Asset Tracking. There u have to choos all of your textures and set the path for them like so: ..\Textures for proxy: ..\Proxy and so on 2 minutes maximum to set up file Maybe Autodesk Vault make the features even more easy, but I still haven't time to install and read the manual

  4. When u are usin Vray phiscam, i have to set mult for VraylightMtl up to 2000 or higher becuase of exposure control. As for visible Vraylightmtl but not generating GI use VrayOverideMtl, see the manual or here: http://www.spot3d.com/vray/help/150SP1/vray_overridemtl.htm Basicaly for neon I use VrayOverideMtl with two VrayLightMtl - Base for color; GI to generate GI. Multipliers for base from 2000 to 6000(depend on your ISO/f-number/shutter speed) and for GI 10000 - 60000. Hope it helps.

  6. By "build in" I mean inegrated, sorry for my english I have 2 Xeon 5335 that means 2*processor with 4 core, so i've got 8 core machine.

  8. This bed i created based on photoreference using polymodeling.
  9. If u want pc just for render then u need graphic card build in motherboard, as tanni said hi speed processor i recommend dual Xeon 5335, and 4-8Gb ram, I think fast HDD is advantage. BTW: Why Vista? I think XP 64-bit is more suitable.
  10. Yes nazcaLine, your are right but after u chamfer edges there wil not be any triangle polygons. Just simple way but for good result u have to model like these.(See pictures from Archi tutor)
  11. I think the better result could be achieved by extruding vertices on step 2 instead of chamfer.
  12. BTW u can stiil use Mix map of Vray sky and any other map for your environment

    LWF/Benchmark

    If u use ColorCorrect plugin, then u could easily match your color, because there is a compensation Gamma value. Just use CC set your color to 128-grey and set gamma to 2,2 if you are working in LWF

    Tile magic just don't repeat texture so u just need to tile texture so if u enter 25x25 in tilemagic u need ti make your original texture to tile 25 times so it is. 4.
