  1. Yea i know, just took some time off to check those new features out and that'e definitely the way to go.
  2. That argument is becoming pointless, yes, if you can't afford longer rendertimes, then it's okay. In this example not the worst noise scenario i'v seen, but a lot of the times, at the right settings, scene without noise renders faster than the one with noise. And original poster didn't say that he was in a hurry.
  3. Don't get that analogy, why would you render with noise if you have a choise not to? And noise he had wasn't like you have on photos, it was caused by some mistake in the settings.
  4. Can't agree with that, if it's that obvious at 200%, it will surely be seen at 100% also. I notice that your noise Is at the area where light hits the ceiling and wall, shadow-ish area is quite clean, try to up on light samples, even up to 256 if needed and/or reduce intensity a bit, maybe that will help.
  5. This is how i usually deal with noise...If there is noise in reflection pass, it is most likely from material samples, i almost always start off with 64 minimum in most of my materials. If there is noise in Vrayrawlighting pass, it is most likely caused by overblown white areas from direct light, or from low number of samples in the light itself. In all my scenes i use .005 as noise treshold, and it has worked for me so far. Your scene with the bed, it seems like the problem is with overblown areas, since most problematic spots in your scene are white, and curtains are really noisy too, in the areas where light hits it, check if you are not yousing 255,255,255 in your white material, as everyone is already pointing it out everywhere- no material is pure white. Try rendering small region of noisy area, and go up on light samples, even up to 256 or 512, and/or reducing light intensity.. Hope it helped and you will figure it out.
  6. Totally agree, there are so many artists on Behance so i decided to try it myself couple of weeks ago and i don't see why people use it..it is least user friendly site i'v ever seen, one of few things that you would want from site like that to work-"adding projects" is slow and annoying as shit.
  7. That seems to be closest to what i'm looking for, thank you and everyone else who tried to help so much.
  8. Thanks for the link, some of these scipts seem to do almost exactly what i need.
  9. I guess i'm doing poor job explaining what i need exactly, but i now know that there seems to be no cheat for that, have to remodel the geometry or just extrude from up/down.
  10. That's what i meant by extruding..question is...is there a way to somehow "fix" curved surface in a way you can fix flat surface by aligning it to Z, Y, or X axis.
  11. Hey guys, here's a picture, and my question is- is there some kind of way to fix that irregularity in polygons, i mean for that horisontal cylinder wall to be smooth and even again..Maybe some script of some sort..this is just an example, possibilities like deleting and extruding down from that uppeer cap are not working. thanks a lot in advance.
  12. You didn't provide us with any info at all, like what software/render engine do you use, but it seems to me like it's still V-ray. And maybe you wanted to make Blue-ish tint on windows using Fog color, but made glass too thick or didn't drop down fog multiplier.. i agree with Benjamin, but glass is not really that hard of a material. Just make diffuse full white, reflect full white, refract full white, and ior about 1.333, also check affect shadows.
  13. what kind of line are you talking about ?
  14. it's just a bug in bercon maps preview, it won't show on actual model.
