Thanks a lot for clarifying the idea. It real helped me. So in my case, if I want to use iray I should by a new graphic card (which one do you recommend) but if I will stay with Mental Ray. Adding a new gpu will not change anything. Sorry for the headache.

I am not sure what you mean by engine, but I normally use iray or Mental Ray in rendering. For the GPU accelerated rendering, I don't thing I am using it because I don't know how (would love to know more). Also 3ds max doesn’t support my graphic card (I tried to use the gpu to render but it didn’t find It. My graphic doesn’t have cuda cores). Sorry I don’t know a lot in this stuff so please be passion with me.

hello everyone, i find this post very interesting. but i have a question that i would love to find a answer: i am a student in university( studying architecture) and i resent but a computer for rendering ( hp H8-1403) for my rendering projects. this computer have a AMD Radeon HD 7570 graphic card. this card don't work with 3Ds max, so i use my intel i7-3770 to render everything. some time it takes more than 48 hour to render the project. My question is : if I buy a evga GeForce gtx 750 ti will it helps me to render faster or not. if no, do you know any graphics that will help me ( my computer have a 430w power supplie) thanks a lot (sorry for the mistake. i am a french persons)
