  3. Hi all, In a scene I'm working on I have 5 jpegs plugged into their own CoronaLightMtl. I want all the CoronaLightMtl nodes to share the same parameters, emit light, intensity, visibility etc. But don't want to update it 5 times every time I tweak something. Is there a way to instance the materials so they all update, but can have different bitmaps plugged into them? Thanks in advance.
  4. In your settings you have "Use local subdivs" checked under Global DMC. This means that your having to put in all the samples for materials and lights instead of just letting vray work out what's best. So either raise the light samples or turn of use local subdivs and lower the colour threshold.
  5. I agree with everyone else here. I've got the whole office on it and its running great. We use all the programs and plugins you mentioned and no problems what so ever!
  6. EDIT: Fixed now, had to run as administrator Hey guys, so I've created a VPN between the computer(A) with the licenses and the computer(B) that will need the licenses when it is moved offsite. When I open up VRay on Computer B and try to edit the license server information to either computer A's public IP or its IP it's given over the VPN, VRay just says "could not save settings". Sorry if I'm missing something blindingly obvious this network stuff is all new to me!

    VRay Licenses

Hello, Hi guys, At the moment we have 8 computers with VRay licenses pointed to a WIBU dongle on one of the slave PC's we have. We need to send 2 or 3 of the computers to another location for our artists to work on them there. How can we make sure that VRay will still work on these computers there. Will the need another WIBU dongle? Any help is greatly appreciated.
  8. This splotchyness is most likely down to the scene being under-lit. If you check your GI render element pass I'm sure that will be where the splotches show. This is fixed really easily just by bringing more light into the scene. Increasing your GI settings can also help in some situations. If you really want to do it in Photoshop which I advise against, you can create a mask of the splotchy areas and gaussian blur it, although this is really not how I'd recommend fixing it, as you will lose details and shadows and really mess up the look of lighting.
