Ive had quotes for the 5820K and im now looking at the 4790K as the bench marks for this processor look great and ive managed to find render times for both processors...the diff being only 2mins. http://www.evermotion.org/vbulletin/showthread.php?46777-3dsmax-rendering-benchmark/page21 The other think that is slightly worring me is that the whan I spoke to the computer guy who is going to build it, said that there has been times in the past when new tech has been dropped and im wondering if the 6 core is the way to go? knowing my luck ill buy it and it will be obsolete in 6months time. Any suggestions?

Hello....hope someone can help me out... Im looking to invest in a new build desktop to run 3Ds Max 2015 and edit composite still renders in Photoshop CS6. Looking to cut render time down to a minimum. Also want to try out VRay as Ive not used it yet. Currently using Mental Ray...Scenes Have quite alot of Glass and Ceramic surfaces and current times are taking over 24hrs...;o( Intel i7 5820K 6 Core 32GB Ram 256 Samsung SSD Hard drive (C Drive) 1TB HDD Drive (D Drive) 970 GTX 4GB Graphics Card 600w Power Cable Windows 7 pro Price quoted £1500 Other option was to go with a i7 4 core and everything else the same...price quoted £1300 Appreciate any help, and thanks in advance:D Gareth
