    walkthrough

of course you can. if you have to ask basic questions such as this i'd suggest you go away and read the manual and do LOADS of practise before you proceed else you'll never get anywhere.
  3. you're asking a question of software and techniques which are nearly 3 years old. times and methods are rapidly changing. if i were to reply to this thread now i'd highly recommend you use full-on correct gi methods. AO as a primary gi method isn't needed or recommended these days. gi is, in most cases, a lot faster than ao is anyway. AO should only really be used as a subtle enhancement to your lighting, if you even need it at all.
  4. Hi Strat , I've a question for and would really appreciate if you answered it, you can find it in the link below.

    thanks in advance.

  5. was it worth the effort? not one looks natural or comped correctly.
  6. agreed. All those stats certainly aint a brag!
  7. DOF Pro is blimmin fantastic, but like Tom, i use it on a 32-bit version of PS specially installed for it next to the regular 64 bit version.
  8. yup, if renderers like Maxwell rendered in comparable times to vray i'd switch in a second.
  9. nicey the girl's skin and upper torso is a wee bit over exposed and not matching the scene lighting correctly to fit perfectly into the scene, but nice all the same. grand effort. comping convincing peeps is not easy.
  10. 1. How many original designs have you made in your whole career? 0 2. Are you self-employed or working in a company? both 3. How did you decide to get into this field? CGI was just virgining when i entered the field of architecture, it seamed like a blast, so i pursued it. never looked back. 4. What training did you receive to prepare you for this position? Would you recommend this training for others who wanted to get in this field? no CGI training, and only 2 years part time in architectural college. but over 20 years experience in the trade. for a nube looking to enter the CGI Viz trade now i'd recommend to thoroughly learn your software and get a couple of years basic archi training under your belt to ground you and start you off. 5. What are the opportunities for advancement or promotion? In archi-viz? not much when in full time employment. but on a free lance bases the opportunities are up to you. the more experienced, better and well known with a good name you become the more you can charge. 6. What kind of benefits do you get for this field? (retirement plans, vacation days, insurance, etc) Similar answer to above - if employed you'll get whatever package of perks the company offers. if self employed the option is all yours (email and phone supplied)
