As working in archviz.. well sometimes, the most difficult part for me is having a discution with an architect.. Reading plans is kinda easy, but when you don't understand something, you've got to use the good words when talking with the client. Luckily I'm not alone and every day I learn stuff. I got a lot of luck finding a job, mainly because my renderings impressed my employer. I'd like to fully work on archviz, learn more and more, but I don't think I would be able to find another job in archviz if I had to lose my current job, mainly cause I simply don't have any architectural qualification, so I guess it's something you MUST have. At least for the understanding of technial stuff.

I can recommand you a dell machine, new xps m1710 or inspiron 9400, both come with core duo. Dell is great imo, bought an xps some months ago with 7800 go gtx and damn it's good. I paid it less than 2500$ 4 months back. 1gig ram 7800gtx, 80gig dvd+-rw, 17" 1920*1200 (that is so great to work)

Do you have pure white material 255 255 255, that can cause errors, especially with lightcache, try to put them like 253 253 253, dunno if it will help though.

Sure it works with viz, on the left from the help button you have maxscript, click then choose run script, select the elight.ms script and a window will popup with options, good luck

If your trees are editable geometry, you should convert them to vray proxies, by selecting it, open maxscript listener, and type dovraymeshexport();. A window will popup, check automatically replace the object with the proxy. The tree should be one mesh with all it's leaves. This way you can render very high polycount scenes, proxy allowing less memory consumption. good luck.

Hello, 14 weeks ago I ordered Exposé 1 from Budplant, was the only place I found to get a hardcover edition. They sent the book and 14 weeks after, there was still nothing. I mailed them and they were kind enough to send me one back, the second one finally arrived after 6 weeks. They were very kind, on a trust basis. The first one is lost. USPS is the worst postal servive I've ever experimented, just simply crap for international shipments. In your case they are rejecting fault on each other (post vs cgproshop) and I'm sorry to say I think you will never see your book if you ordered in december... After 12 weeks shipment is considered as lost... If you ordered with a mastercard or a visa, you may want to call them and explain what happened. I've got an insurance on my cart for such things including internet buys. good luck, hope you can sort that out and that the book pops up at your door. cheers
