  1. If you need AutoCAD occassionally, I believe you have an option of renting a license on a monthly basis. You need to verify this with a reseller though.
  2. I have a scene that I tried to use radiosity in, but would like to revert to standard lights. how can I remove the radiosity information so that the standard lights will work in the scene? This is driving me crazy !
  3. I have lost the autocad command line and can't recover it. Can anyone help !
  4. Thanks for the help. Sorry for not mentioning this earlier, I looked at the response and quickly went to finish the rendering.
  5. When i render an arc in autocad it comes out segmented? Viewres is 20000 and arc smoothness is 20000? please advise
  6. this doesn't allow you to render lines. I can't see any type of options to allow you to render lines like in viz (renderable splines)
  7. I have a plan with some extruded shapes. How can I get the lines to render in Autocad ?

    Light Instance

If I have multiple lights in a scene, can I make them an instance after the fact ?
  10. Strat - Thanks for the quick response. I found that tut earlier and ran through it, which prompted this question. I wanted to see if there was a way to verify the image on step 6 without having to use viz. As I mentioned earlier, I saw a post on how to do this in photoshop somewhere. It allows you to tile an image on a user specified range. Also, you say tiling is easy...it's kicking my butt. Actually all of this is.
  11. I remeber seeing a post on how to tile an image within photoshop. My goal is to make a material and "test" tile it in photoshop to make sure there's no noticable pattern. Can anyone help me with this again, I can't find the old post. Thanks !
  12. In the above reply, it was mentioned to stay with surfaces as much as possible. What happens when you have an opening in a wall, you can't use boolean operations on surfaces ? Do you suggest that one should model the opening in the wall. ie: Two surfaces for the left and right had sides of the opening, two surfaces for the top and bottom of the surfaces. A total of four surfaces to create the opening rather than using a region an subtract the opening from the region ? I would use the model in VIZ and Lightscape, if this matters.
