  2. Hi all I need your help guys. I am new to vray and I get this message as soon I apply an existing vray material to the top of a table. (the material works fine on the floor) The message is: "material or color returning overbright" and I get strong highlight on some part of the image. How do i fix the problem? Any help appreciated. Thanks

  7. Hi all I am starting to use viz 4 and Max 6 for my renderings, and coming from lightscape i am tryng to understand the differents between the 2 software about radiosity. I would like to ask you few questions: 1)Can you use ies day light and photom. lights toghethet in a scene? 2)Can you move object once radiosity is done withoutupsetting the rendering? 3)Can you include more object in the scene after the radiosity done and using only standard lights to illuminate it? I would appreciate your advice on this. Cheers

  10. Hi Guys Interesting what you say but now i am again confused on which way to go. I was upgrading to max 6 from my viz 4 becouse ofvoices about viz ending like lightscape. Now viz 5 is coming and max 6 is here already. If money is not an issue what you suggest i do. I just want to stick with one software, i am tired to spend money all over the place. Is Max the best choise? I will hold until i hear from you expert advice. Thanks
  11. Greg Thank you very much for the advice. I was going to get the quadro but now i am not sure anymore. I have a ti 4800 se running at 650mhz- it is a special edition of the ti 4200 with speed equal to the 4600 and 8x agp. i think it is ok but i always wanted to buy a pro card (only if the differents in speed is significant)As the render time is not effected by v/card than i think i can live with my gf4 ti card. cheers
  12. Ok guys I have decided. As i cannot spend thousands, i am going to get the quadro4 xgl 980 (A$1250). Question: will this card also render faster that a fx 5900 gforce or is only going to be fast for working faster with big models? I would appreciate your opinion. Thanks
  13. Hi all How happy do you think i will be if I upgrade from a ti 4600 to a quadro4 xgl 750 (or 980 xgl ?) Is it worth to spend the A$ 770 or just wait and spend more for a quadro fx? I would appreciate your opinion on this. cheers
  14. Hi guys does this mean that i can render max file that take 15/20 minuts in something like 1 or 2 minuts? If so can you please send me the link to theyr web site? Thanks a lot
