  1. Here is another, please add us to the list. Bournemouth, Dorset, United Kingdom Agency Kilo http://www.agencykilo.com
  2. Hi thanks, yeah I have tried that but it unhides all the hidden elements of the block. The dynamic blocks are only showing part of a larger drawing that the block is made up of. So there are multiple blocks referencing different parts of the same block (hope that makes sense). What I need is like burst but so that it crops the block to only the part that was visible before it was burst. Thanks for your help, have found a work around now but would be good to know for the future as it would save a lot of time.
  3. Hi, Just found this thread and having this exact problem on a large site. http://forums.cgarchitect.com/28934-dynamic-blocks.html Anyone know a quick solution?
  4. See what you mean, will prob add Ctrl+Alt+Q like you say but I quite like the 2013 way, find it really quick being a toggle with one shortcut. If you wanted isolate part of your current isolation all you had to do was select the new and double press the shortcut keys and it would un-isolate then go straight back to your new isolation really quick. Now my lazy fingers have to move more! I'm sure I'll get used to it though, just in time for next years method Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  5. Just been having a play around with it. Populate will definitely be useful for longer distance aerial type stuff. Is it me or is the isolate shortcut (Shift Q) broke though? Can isolate but not un-isolate have to use the icon!!
  6. Yeah, I have had this a couple of times too. On big scenes it can be hard to find the responsible object. I think I just merged the object from a previous version which solved it. Will defintely try the sub-object trick first next time though.
  7. Atari 520 STE with 512kb Ram. I remember upgrading it to a whole 1mb so that I could play Street Fighter 2. They were the days
  8. This is a great thread, good to hear everyones ways of dealing with these things. I have been getting neck and shoulder (and sometimes lower back) problems for the last couple of years due to my work posture. I always try to keep my posture good, but after 10 mins of getting into something I always realise I fallen back to my distorted 1 elbow on desk kind of thing with legs crossed. I see a chiropractor and get a sports massage every couple of months which definitely helps and normally straightens me out again (for a few weeks), but does not really do anything to stop it happening again. Am thinking about trying physio as this will probably help train the muscles rather than just clicking things back. Exercise definitely helps and training your core muscles really helps your posture. I completely agree with Tom and that the only real solution is to try and improve you work posture as this will stop it happening in the first place. I really like the standing workstation idea but I really cannot imagine working like that, did it take awhile to get used to? On another note, if anyone is seeing a chiropractor you might want to ask if they can do your wrists as well (only if they know how to of course, don't want to cause any other issues). Mine suggested this after I mentioned they were a bit sore and she managed to completely losen them up from their locked up state. (did realise how bad they were). Hurt like mad first time but now I have it done evertime and hopefully it will help to prevent anything more serious. I have also started using a wrist support when working to try and stop any RSI related injuries as well, knee and elbow pads are next!!!
  9. Think you should be able to do it in footstep mode in the biped panel. This will display and let you manually change the position of each footstep in the animation. Not sure if there is a quick way to align them to the surface though, haven't used it for a awhile. You may also have to compensate for anything strange the rest of the bip does depending on how steep the slope is I guess. Might be worth looking into CAT too, as this might have a much easier way of doing things, but I havn't really had a chance to play with it yet. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  10. Ok, massive stab in the dark but do you have the HSDS modifier on anything? I know that this causes issues in 64bit. Failing that you wanna try merging things into a clean scene. Use a half then half again method for merging until you find the culprit. i.e. Merge half the scene, if it is ok you know the offending object is in the other half or vice versa. Then keep doing this with the problem half until you find the issue. Hope this helps Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  11. At the bottom next to the big Render button. Open up drop down and save/load preset. Will give you option of what to save. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  12. Do you not have a previous scene you can save a preset from and import? (look in your autoback if not) Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  13. Have you tried changing to scanline renderer and back again to see if it fixes it? If that doesn't work I'd probably suggest that it might be something to do with your settings. Does it look ok when you do a normal draft render through the frame buffer? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  14. Hi, Just your normal sampling settings, min and max in the render dialogue. There are no preview specific ones. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
