HI All, I have recieved an STL file from a manufacturer that I need to get into max for high end renderings and animations. I cannot seem to get it to work. I was wondering if there was an expert out there that would be willing to help me out. They also sent me a IGES and STP file. All three are giving me fits. I have tried the polytrans and meshlab demos with no luck. Anyone have experience doing this? Willing to pay thru paypal for your services! Need a very quick turnaround! first of all Merry Christmas! Does anyone know why VRAY slows down when it gets to objects that have a visiblility track set to 0. I want these objects to come on slowly - but it looks like vray is calculating all of the objects - even if they are set to 0. I did a quick test - when I hide all of the objects that have a visiblilty of 0 the render is 8 times faster. Please help!

Anyone know what is going on with Chaos? Their website has been down for over a week. We are in need of the upgrade to VRAY 1.52 because of Max Design. Is there anywhere else you can get this upgrade?

HELP! Isn't Brute Force supposed to keep the noise in the same place? I am noticing alot of flashing in my animations lately. I am not sure if this is due to a new 64-bit RENDERBOXX I just added to my farm, or if I am just dumb in VRAY. If you take a look at the 3 test frames below, you will notice the noise pattern is different in all three frames, each from a sepereate 64-bit computer on the farm. What is going on??@?@? Settings are brute force VRAY 1.5 Max 9.2.

Does anyone know if you can use copyrighted music on a animation for a client? The problem we are having is that they want 50 copies on a dvd, so we are not sure who will be the final audience. Royality free music is just so cheesy. Thanks.

Has anyone called and checked on the price of the new RenderBoxx 10200? Their website doesn't have it up yet. I know the 10100 were around 8K a box. Thanks for your help.

Anyone having the issues with Max 9 SP 2 not saving to a Network Drive. My files just hang on the save. Even small files. (5MB) take over 20 minutes to save. If you close max your file will be corrupt or not even in the folder anymore. FRUSTRATING!

HELP!@!!!#@@ I have a scene in max 8 with alot of IES lights. When I save and come back to the file, the link to the IES files are gone! The web parameters are still pointing to the right folder and correct web file, but I have to re-click the web file and bring it back in. ANY IDEAS? I need to send this to a render farm - so I cannot babysit the IES settings everytime I save. YIKES.

good start! I agree with the people...no good. The saturation is off compared to the rendering. Plus the shadows are not consistant. Dark shadows under the cars...light washed out shadows for the peps. One other thing...the blacktop in the parking lot is repeating. I would add a composite layer on top of that with a noise/cloud texture.
