1. Thanks for the tips guys. I think I got it. -Scott
2. Who would you guys model this? I'm thinking poly modeling, rotating and moving individual pieces. Could particle flow work? Painter? I'm kinda stumped guys??? Thanks - Scott
3. After talking with some tech company in California I found the issue. I install the previous hot fixes that where released and then the service pack. I don't know what happened. All I know is 2009 is working great and Vray SP2 is awsome. Thanks for your guy's insight.
4. Ok thanks. I'm dealing with Autodesk right now on another issue. I can't intall the new service pack???? I hate these problems!!!
5. We just got MAX 2009 and VRay 1.5 sp2 yesterday. So I installed it and got all of my scripts and plug-ins setup the way I like it. So I loaded a scene I did last week in 2008 and VRay 1.5 RC3. Now my scene is WAY to bright!!! Like my lights where turned up 75-100% My settings didn't change or anything though. ????????
6. I have the sun set at about a 35 degree angle: Sun- Turb: 2.5 Oz: .25 Int. Mult: 1 Size: 1 Camera- F-number 8 Shutter 250 Film 250
7. hhoa: Yep!!! I got a 64 bit Dual Xeon Quad system with 4 gigs of ram. Mark: I can give you more specifics tomorrow when I get to work. I have the sun linked I believe and have it set pretty low. I'll post some of my settings tomorrow.
8. The grass is done with VRay fur and the plants where created with Xfrog. It's all 3D, it kills rendering time (especally using VRay fur), but I hate photoshoping plants after the fact. Lighting was just VRay sky. No HDRI.
9. UPDATED: Sorry it took so long to post the updated version, I got slammed with some other work this past week. How does this look??? http://picasaweb.google.com/scottaparris/BeecherWalkerAssociates/photo#5216613586018190130
10. Thanks for the comments guys. I'm creating a reflection map in PS right now. And more vegetation near the houses will help i think to. I'll post the updates when they're done.
11. This is a home in a mountain sub-division going up in Northern Utah. Is there anything I missed? Please let me know. http://lh4.ggpht.com/scottaparris/SFquA2D-AGI/AAAAAAAAASY/TRdmcuPxs_c/House%20View.jpg?imgmax=800
12. do you have software for realtime walkthrough and how to extrct to 3dmax7, thanks

13. Attached is a screenshot of my current MAX file. I'm having trouble with the carpet as you can see from the preview window (bright hotspots). The carpet material, displacement map and displacement settings are also shown. I've done a search for possible soulutions. Add lights, crank my rendering settings, and adjust recieve GI settings. The rest of the image looks great, no noise or anything....but the carpet????? Any ideas??? I have two light sources btw. a vray sun and a vray plane light outside the window.
