I just realized the irony. I had a love affair with the austin mini. Why? Same reason I love Maxwell. They both stand out in a crowd, are a blast to drive... but often, the muffler just falls off, going up a hill... but doesn't dislodge entirely, instead wedges itself against the road and sparks with a racket which would wake the dead. ironic.
