What is the best way to import CAP Office Furniture symbols into Max 2010? Legacy or other? What is important to keep checked or unchecked? Want to be able to apply finishes to each layer and have smooth undirty models. Am also having issues with dwg's that do this (see jpg)??? Please help

Totally had the same problem. The fix for me came with the VRAY license server. I sometimes use the dongle and I sometime piggy on a networked license. Once I set the networked to be the primary license server it fixed the problem! Guess it was searching for the dongle first and putting the mat edit on snooooooze....

Hi All, I am trying to achieve the soft shadows and photorealism of the attached renderings (downloaded from the Steelcase website). I currently only use omni/photometric lights in my Max renderings. I have gathered that to achieve this look I should be using either Radiosity/Global Illuminination/Skylights/Mental Ray/Vray. Any suggestions??? Thanks in advance for your time!
