1. Hi Brodie, The texture will not work in this case since I will be requiring to do close eye level shots showing the road network and curbs in detail. And the mesh is just too crude and large to manipulate. And none of the tools like boolean, conform is working, is it like these tool doesnt work when the mesh is too large?
2. Hi Sancheuz and David, @Sancheuz, I tried using conform and shape merge tool both in 3dsmax, but the terrain mesh is just too crude and huge to work on that. Every time I tried to use those two above tool, it didnt work. I also had to refine the mesh by removing broken vertices, double edges etc but still it didnt work. @David, I tried using booleran, but 3dsmax crashed couple of time before I stopped using that. Its because the mesh is around more than 1 million polys. The Anti-stitcher looks nice, I will see if I can use this effectively on the terrain.I even tried with Glue plugin, but it failed as well.
3. Hi, i would like to ask a very common question on modeling road network on uneven terrain. I use 3dsmax and am facing a problem in aligning roads, curbs on a land which is generated from a terrain data. I attached a screen shot of a portion of the land form and would like to know the best possible way to add roads/curbs as on the surface. Would like to hear some comments, thanks in advance for guidance

Studio/Institution: LAV Genre: Residential Interior Software: 3ds max and vray Description: Hiii everybody, am back here after a along time. am posting some of my recent interior works. i would love to hear comments on these images. thanks in advance
5. Hi everybody, i was working on a illustration few days back and I found am not getting the very affect am looking for in a NPR stylized image. The process I t followed was, I took a front elevation render made in 3ds max, saved in alpha enabled tga and imported in photoshop and started painting over the image. Using few layers I came up with something not that bad but not that great either, So, i was to post here, what are the best method people use for making NPR style render. In my case, the base images are rendered using 3dsmax or sketchup and then the images put through various process under an image editing software like photshop. Even the backgroud are 2d images/composited images and painting etc with NPR styling. If there is something anyone can post, I will really appreciate, thanks in advance
6. the video was very helpful! thanks a lot Brian
7. Hi, am planning to make a faster and more stable system for running 3dsmax in 64 bits. Currently I use AMD processor and I had not much problem with it. So, I would like to go for again AMD and this time Phenom 955 x4 black edition seems a good choice, as per some benchmark i saw. I would like to see some advice from you regarding: 1. whether Phenom x4 955 black edition or even the standard one will be a good choice? and compared to Intel i5 what different it can have on the performance. I know i7 would be better but, i will not go for that kind of budget for now. 2. if Phenom is a good choice whats the best motherboard that will suit the config. I was thinking of MSI 790GXG65, or may be a ASUS will do better, need advice please 3. i am fond of nVidia and using it since last couple of years, whats the medium priced nVidia card I should go for this config? Thanks in advance for your advice

11. hi Alfredo, this is what exactly happens to me as well. 3dsmax does not take enough of the physical memory available and goes into using the virtual memory. And this slows down the render process by a good margin. I noticed while using heavy textures and vray proxy mesh 3dsmax tends to use more virtural memory than the available physical memory. I dont know if that is what happens with others also. I am looking for a solution to this
