  1. The MIR website is currently flooded with images made by AI.
  2. It's been a few months since the last post. During this time, new AI tools focused especially on architecture emerged. lookx.ai and promeai were two that I tested. Sketchup also implemented a plugin directly into the program. Now AI accurately recognizes hand sketches or lines generated by 3D software, or even depth maps. The quality and precision of the idea we want to show is increasingly better and will evolve exponentially in the coming months. It won't be long before AI can accurately place available finishes on the market, such as wood floors, fabrics, bricks and furniture that brands sell. I imagine we are not far from having spaces designed entirely by AI, as there are also AIs that generate 3D files and floor plans. Rendering for architects and interior designers will be the first to be affected, as they use renders to "illustrate an idea", (in fact, most show the idea only with a moodboard...) and most of the time they don't need to have an Oscar-worthy image. For developers, I am still skeptical, as they require very precise images of the product being sold, with perfect humanization and even videos. In the coming months we will be inundated with AI-generated images, like this @miladeshtiyaghi profile. Architects can benefit in some way, transforming stacked boxes into photorealistic images with just a few clicks.
  3. In V-ray setings > GPU Memory Management > Resize, try set "On-demand Mipmapping".
  4. We need to update this. Now the Chinese market is floaded with Xeon and Threadreaper CPU´s, dual and quad motherboards. On the other way, current Ryzen have an excellent value performance ratio. Is anyone still thinking about an alternative rendering solution?
  5. Definitely this noise is caused by the rendering quality, few stars...Render a few seconds with 4 or 5 stars and you will notice that the problem will be solved.
  6. Just explode it in SketchUp. Lumion had issues with mirror blocks and components.
  7. This is quite common in my work. I basically use photos from the site and cadmapper (http://cadmapper.com). With Cadmapper I import the basic geometry, as there is not much precision, I even add details and improve the geometry, based on the photos I receive. The final result is approximate, but for visualization is more than enough. I would only ask the client to hire a surveyor if I were responsible for the project and execution of the work.
  8. Lumion 8 was released a few months ago. The engime is even more incredible. If anyone still has doubts about the quality of the images, watch this video:
  9. I agree. Lumion has made great leaps with each version. 8.0 was awesome, more realistic and intuitive. It is an unbeatable software for the work that is proposed. Any freelancer can render great videos on their own desktop.
  10. Nice, Chile is seen by Brazilians as the best country in Latin America; Nor can it be considered a third world. Brazil is plunged into a political and economic crisis, as it has always been. That is why I am following this topic, because I would like to be able to offer my services in the future to countries with a more valued currency. Of course, im would like to be able to charge a fair price, above $ 50.
  11. Do you think about it when going to buy an Iphone, Tennis, Clothing or other manufactured goods in the Third World?
  12. The bird library is still very limited. But come on, the quality is not that bad. Most clients do not need better quality than this. It is not photorealistically perfect, but general people would never notice the errors in the internal maps, or badly positioned tiles. A video like this can cost 1/4 of a video rendered in 3ds Max. It can be done at 60 fps on a home computer, it does not even need renderfarm. With a few months of study, anyone produces such videos on Lumion. In other programs, learning in the configuration of materials, lighting, cameras, animation certainly takes a few years to have quality. I think this is a video standard that tends to grow a lot from now on, both for the agility and cost-effectiveness that customers require.
  13. Sorry, English is not my first language. For the price, the surrender surprised me, the quality is excellent (for the value), he knew how to elaborate a concept based only on the images, that is great, besides everything fulfilled the deadlines. Only a very small portion of clients would require something better than that, perhaps developers for the high-end real estate market. It makes me wonder how much I should improve in my skills, workflow, and hardware, to be able to do the same. In Brazil, the minimum wage is about U$$ 288 per month. For a trained architect, the minimum wage for the category, provided by law, is U$$ 2160, however, almost no architect earns it by working in offices. Maybe half of that. If I have demand and can do 2 jobs like this per day, I would be earning more than 90% of the architects in my country. I do not know how much is a good salary for architects in the US, but in Brazil, India and Somalia, this is a great salary.
  14. For architectural visualization used for real estate ventures, most of the time, a HOllywood hyperrealistic render is not necessary. Companies need a lot of agility and low price. For this, Lumion is an excellent alternative, because in it, it is possible to render videos in minutes, using a computer of U $$ 2000. It is not necessary a renderfarm, or hundreds of hours of rendering. Just as a reference, Gui Felix, from Brazil, has been doing an amazing job with Lumion, as well as 3D Cordoba from Argentina. http://Https://pt.fr.facebook.com/homedesignint/ http://Https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-NBuNftWw2A
  15. The same is valid for models of cars, furniture, luminaires, electronics, textures, since all products designs have Copyright.
