  1. Hi, I would just like to start out with telling that I'm pretty new to the CG world, and started working with 3ds max 2018 and vray 3.6 just a month ago. I've been experiencing some problems lately regarding the background of my model. I started out trying to set up a backdrop plane with an image, but wasn't completely satisfied, as I had to scale the image to much in order to cover the size of the outdoor environment in the chosen frame. I added a background environment like explained in this tutorial: http://docs.autodesk.com/3DSMAX/15/ENU/3ds-Max-Tutorials/index.html?url=files/GUID-38106872-612A-400A-8E96-71847AA83BC3.htm,topicNumber=d30e28730 But then came the problem. A "blue" rectangle seems to override the background. In the safe frame of my camera everything seems fine, but when I start to render something seems to be overriding the background/environment. The light sources of my model is 1. Vray sun with IES sky 2. Vray light dome with HDRI map 3. Vray light plane (sky portal) in the windows I've tried to turn the different light sources in order to find the problem, but I can't find the real source. Do anyone have suggestions to what may cause the rectangle to appear, and how to deal with it? Please see attachment for explaining the "rectangle"/override I'm talking about, as well as the safe frame and top view of my model. Regards O
