Start from why you want to use Revit Revit is BIM software which needs different orientation from the rest you mentioned. Take a course from good training centre, refer help files etc...

Revit internal rendering engine is Accurender. Accurender claims that it can produce photorealastic renders. We at our office worked with Accurender in AutoCAD 5-6 years back, very easy to setup the basic rendering, takes time as it works with AutoCAD engine. ADT elements can be file linked rather import. Try using file link manager from Viz / Max.If you don't Link manager you have to convert ADT file as 3ds or save ACAD dwg with AEC exploded option , it should work.

Typically CAD files are worked by many people in one office using X-Refs. I am not aware about X-Refing by Internet . If I understood your question correctly, it is possible through project collabrative systems like Buzzsaw, 4 projects, E-Builder to transfer CAD files in more systematic manner. Couple of projects we worked with 4projects, consultants from Dubai, UK, Australia and everything well.

If stb is only shown use a system variable called convertpstyles, this will take care converting stb mode to ctb mode.

We also did not get any reply about dongle request even after couple of reminders. But the guys from Vray reacted well.... Last ten days back we received a temperory autorisation which will work till the shipment of dongle. So finally no complaints for us....
