There must be a setting I am not getting right in the V-ray Physical Camera since the render image looks over exposed... see image-1 attached here. Image-2 is the correct exposure. Any ideas why. Thanks
I guess the answer is to create each geometry (Box, Cylinder, etc.) and convert in its own layer and group that way they stay separate. Otherwise they auto merge.
Thanks
When I create extrusions say boxes or cylinders in Sketchup they automatically union and/or merge. Is there a setting where they stay intact in other words I don't want them to merge from one another.
Thanks
Correct I removed all section/cutting to make sure. Plus it cuts the plane perpendicular to the orbit view...
Can't figure it out. It seems to happen on and off but when I turn parallel projection off it stops cutting the plane.
Chris thanks. Unfortunately there is no Cutting Plane to click to, I wish there was that would be easy. As you can see in the screen shot the cut is at a weird angle... seems more like a clipping plane in a camera but I have no camera in the model... Strange...
I attached an ACAD object via Reference > Manage Links into Max . Is there a way to assign different materials to the faces of this object? It doesn't let me convert it into an Editable Poly as I usually do with Max objects. Are there any other ways?
Thanks
I've been having a real bad time trying to get from SketchUp to 3ds Max . I tried exporting to Dwg and Obj and also FBX but faces and layers don't import as predictable for some reason.. I'm must be missing something. I really would prefer using References > Manage Links. And I haven't had any luck with a couple of the free OBJ importers that are supposed to import with materials. Ideally I would like to construct my models in SketchUp and then import or reference as links to 3ds Max for final Vray materials and renders.
Any advice?
Thanks in advance...
I cant figure out why I am getting Sphere Vray Line light reflections on ceiling (see red arrows on screenshots attached) looks like they are coming from the spheres... Is there a way to remove these reflections in the settings? (see my settings attached) Any suggestions welcomed.
Thanks
