  1. Guys I don't expect anyone to believe in ufo , you have the right to believe in what ever you want... I always believed in other more advanced civilizations in our universe ... and at last I have seen one with my own eyes... Let me tell you , once you see it for yourself your beliefs may change a bit lol And sorry about that mate that i did not have with me a 4 k professional camcorder as i was on a job site driving a company truck... I'm sure you go to a washroom with your hd camera and take it everywhere you go.... Like i said i have the original video from unfortunately a cell phone recording if anyone wants it to explore it you're more than welcome to have it... Look up the billions of galaxies holding billions of stars and planets with in and thinking we are alone here is pretyy much impossible and ignorant... Forgive my avatar , to me it's amusing.... Cheers all , Andrew
  2. I just wanted to re-post as I found a solution..., The trick is in the msconfig under boot tab / advanced option , there is a field with numbers of processors, and it was set to 6 as maximum, after unchecking that field and restarting all 12 threads reappeared lol. Strange windows was treating the system as 6 core only even though all the multithreading was enabled... Good lesson learned after 2 hours of research.. Hope this post can help others with future computing.....
  3. I just noticed recently that my 6 core intel 4930 is only running in 6 cores and is not utilizing multi-threading..., I can see in system task manager only showing 0-5 active threads and before I could see 12.. I am running windows 7 pro with asus p9x79 mobo... I used to render with 12 buckets now only 6 ... whats going on with this system lol anyone? I've tried everything that I know , so far checked bios , multi-threading is enabled, I just updated my bios to the newest ver 4701, I checked msconfig under boot/advanced I can only select 6 cores... this is beyond me ... can anyone land a hand here, I'm very disappointed, it seems as windows is not detecting full functionality of my cpu any help would be appreciated. thanks, Andrew
  4. Well, I need to run back now to Future Shop and return that TV lol, it did not work as expected, very disappointed.. so much lag , 3ds would not show lines in wire frame all the text menus were so small, but the windows interface was ok mind you had to be setup as 150% size at 2160. The tv is great but not for computing at 4K, even when I set the tv to 1080 there was still lag from mouse and keyboard, I will be using my existing 40" 1080 samsung as it works great except for minor visual imperfections.... Lesson learned..., I will give myself one more day to see if there is anything else that can be done. Thank you for all the replies. Andrew Quick update: The mouse and keyboard lag was completely eliminated by renaming the HDMI input to PC, it performed very well, and I just want to say that the TV is absolutely PC ready, however the software and the os is the problem, especially 3ds and PS would open in 2160 the interface was unusable other software would open in 1080 and would look blurry, photos and video displayed amazingly stunning... I wish I could just keep this tv and make it work, it's a great display but at least a year ahead of it's time...
  5. well I think I am gonna give it a shot..., the worst can happen is returning this tv back to the store...
  6. Well it's the over all space, you zoom in and out a lot less when working on details..., the same applies when you use x4 split viewport..., it's a lot easier to see everything... I can tell you if you tried it you would never go back to anything smaller.... The only problem is sitting too close to the screen as the definition of resolution does not yield nice sharp lines but a bit pixelated result and this is the reason I am thinking about trying a 4K display instead... I just seen a Samsung 4K- 120Hz here in Ca for $800 and I got a buyer for my 1080 so I would have to spend only $500 to upgrade which is not a big deal... 40" display rocks... and no problems with neck or headaches at all... Bradley thanks for the link it was an interesting find , but I think if I have the display at my desk the icons and the windows interface would be perfectly visible at 40" opposed to the 27" that the poster relates to... at 27" going 4k would definitely make everything very small.... thanks guys ! ANdrew
  7. Just wondering, Spending more than 10 hours a day at time lol designing I have been using 2 displays, one is a Asus 27" monitor as secondary display and primary a 40" samsung LED tv 1080p.. Having the large Tv at my desk sitting 2.5 ft away from the screen there is no way of avoiding not seeing the blurry distortion when in 2d vector or 3d wireframe editing... I have been thinking about upgrading to a 4K - 40" tv as a primary display and getting rid of the 1080 display... Do you guys use the 4k display at all ?? if so is the clarity of the display substantially better I would think set at 2160... I got a gtx780 and I know I can run it at 2160... Would I be using a standard HDMI port or DVI port or perhaps the DP port to obtain 2160? any input would be appreciated, thanks !
  8. Thanks , it just does not work with mp4s I will work something out
  9. Hi there, I'm just wondering how can I play 2 videos at the same time to compare rendering setting changes implemented while refining the final render through a video editing package ? I would like to play the original and the new adjusted video at the same time with the same play command in the same player... any help or direction would be appreciated.. thanks !
  10. I just wanted to share this event which I posted a while back on youtube and personally experienced it... very strange event..., I just traveled the same way a few days ago and I am now 100% convinced that what we've seen was absolutely real as I was able to locate the same section of the road and confirmed that there was no any sort of radio towers or residential building what so ever..., this concludes to a real event that happened to us in April of 2014. If anyone is interested in stabilizing the original video please contact me and I will forward that to you at earliest convenience... Cheers, ANdrew
  11. This plug looks very good, I am wondering about the mesh though , when I run a box modeling I have full control as how I want the mesh laid, this works great for me when I have to output an object to a AXYZ router , with this plug I am not so sure, but its cool enough especially for a quick presentation.\ thanks mate.
  12. Hey there, I was just wondering if there is a way to create an automated text of this style as attached , what I'm after is like a 2 level letter simply standard primary letter and then recessed beveled face with smooth and round edges.. I work for a signage design firm, and I do lots with copy / logo design / 3d reconstruction.. I modeled the attached "G" letter as a single polygonal object , but that took about half an hour of my time , I would have to spend a whole day modeling letters to assemble an average logo... Is there perhaps a script out there that I could achieve a similar effect ???
  13. that is an amazing attempt ,that dude does not pass on a challenge... I honestly think that the hardware maybe the same but the driver is the key how the hardware performs and what is being utilized on the gpu board... kudos to that dude...
  14. what kind of GPU do you have in your system ?
  15. thanks for the replies, I did some experimenting and I found a "Container" feature with in 3ds.. a very cool options to add groups , kind of like linking I think except you can lock it without the ability to farther edit individual objects until unlocked is initiated... Very cool feature, you can also save individual container and import as needed...
