  1. to clausbang: Sample:http://www.turntool.com/tnt/lightmap/index.html you must be kidding what was the price again?
  2. how do you intend to use vray with turntools? second uv sets for a nice slim texture baked lightmap solution aren't currently supported by turntool. so you will end up using max's radiosity to produce some decent results. -rpict
  3. hi oluv, still hunting that vrml thing you mean that one? http://darendash.home.comcast.net/MaxExporter.html -rpict
  4. with irfanview press shift+strg+T and you get your actual image tiled over the desktop. simply press shift+strg+P to return to your previous desktop. -rpict

    Radiance

if you really want to go into radiance, i recommend you the unix/linux version which is more flexibel/powerfull and under development again. there is also a compiled version for cygwin running under windows. http://www.radiance-online.org/ -rpict
  6. thanks mike that's the thing i was after. i used to filter them out in the past, but with a dozen colors its getting boring. -rpict
  7. does anybody know about a lisp routine, that puts entities with a particular color on a particular layer? e.g. all entities with color yellow on layer 0 are put on layer wall, all entities with color white on layer 0 are put on layer windows etc. all that should go in one run at once. -rpict
  8. mike, aren't you a lightscape user as well? you could set up the sun in lightscape and import it to max. you won't get the skylight, but you could investigate if there is a bug in sunlight system in max. just a thought:) -rpict
  9. nice layout of the results. that makes sense:)) did you try scanline for comparison? -rpict

  15. hi assim very nice image. i like this dark night mood. long raytracing time for the skylight. i always was put off to use that feature, due the long rendertimes, but here it makes the difference. cu gaudenz
