  1. Hi,

Im a filmstudent and artist from Denmark currently on exchange in Vienna. Im currently working on the possibilities of filming a short film in Wittgenstein house, and I just saw that you have made a model of the house - really cool that you made this. Is it a model you made yourself? Did you make it exact? (from the plans of the house with the right dimensions?)

I thought about using a 3d model of the house to plan the film. In that way I can see what angels are good and how I can use the space. I just got a lot of plans from the house.

I wanted to hear you if I can get you model and use it - it will be for research only, to plan the film. I would be very nice, so I dont have to model it myself.

    What program do you use?

    Hope to hear from you,

(please write to me on my email: thomasmhyttel@gmail.com)

    All the best,

    Thomas Hyttel

  2. Here is an over the top, go nuts, ridiculous, shiny rococo inspired interior, that I made. Modeled in max and rendered with vray.
  3. Here are some of my classic furniture models I'd like to share. The textures are not included, but I'm sure that's not a problem. http://rapidshare.com/files/273970432/furniture.rar
  4. Okay, here's the basic process for carvings. First I create the outline of ornament or piece of ornament with spline, then I convert it to editable poly and with cut tool draw in the main geometry lines for the model, after that I continue to manualy make the low poly grid for the model with cut tool. When the basic mesh is done I move some edges, extrude some polys or poly groups and chamfer edges where sharp creases are needed. I will try to upload some pictures later, so you can see what I'm talking about.
  5. Actually it's pretty simple. It has fresnel fallof in diffuse slot, tweak the curve until it seems right, and bump map is a mix of cellular with small(0.1) cell size and bitmap for little creases and bumps.
  6. Thank you! The modeling was all done in 3d max with poly modeling tools. It takes a lot of practice to make this kind of carved furniture. But if you have to make it as often as i do, it's not so difficult. If anyone needs furniture like this for their work, feel free to contact me.
  7. Hi, haven't posted in a long while. Here is my latest personal work. All models made by me. 3d Max, vray and photoshop.
  8. Very nice images! I would work some more on the wood material in exteriors.
  9. Hi, here's my latest work. done with max+vray+photoshop
  10. Thanks! The grass is a photoshop job, I combined two images - grass and flowers, and then cloned that onto my rendering.
  11. Thank you! If you want to make antique furniture, I suggest you learn poly modeling very well, pay special attention to how meshsmooth/turbosmooth/whateversmooth works.
  12. Max+vray+PS A little exercise in exterior rendering
