  1. VisuALL's examples look good and are about that was needed. but we are not-like going to purchase because of one client's request. finally he was happy with stills and VR panoramas thanks for replies. sorry for poor English nidas
  2. I mean a viewer (client) be able to do a walk through interior of a proposed house using mouse and keyboard and no expert knowledge of software. Pre-rendered animations or VR scenes are not suitable in this case is NavisWorks' what we need? are there other solutions (preferably freeware)? n
  3. thanks for replies, do you refer to 'Form Z', not MS as not being able to handle 2d to model over, right? ..
  4. hi fellows what would be the best (ore some alternatives) solution to make a viewer-controllable walk-through presentation (private house interior in my particular case) it would be nice to import from some 3D format (have experience with various software, no problem) but highly recomended it to be a stand-alone and freeware application so the work could be delivered on CD along with that application and easy enough to view for the client?.. due to lack of time i did not read this forum for the answer maybe already here, but i welcome if someone repeat it here thanks, nidas
  5. hi fellows, i would like to hear comments about Bentley Microstation as a choice of all-in one architect's tool: for sketching and developing ideas, drafting final documentation, and doing computer renderings. a one program for all tasks is a plus, i think, and there are collegues that swear by this product, and examples of work that's impressive (visualizations). also it allows to freelly produce architecture thats not 'ordinary' in shape, not just walls/doors/windows. because of integrated solid, surface, NURBS modeling capabilities Archicad-like functionality also available in MS Triforma.. but all that is known but not tested by myself, so i welcome your criticism and also positive feedback, especially from those of you that use the product daily. nidas / lithuania
  6. so far i found out, that SolidWorks software can use .LWI, but no way (that i could see) to convert .LWI's there too. -nidas
  7. anyone using this combo? are there any issues? the advantage would be -no need to rework materials when model needs to be updated. just curious before our firm makes jump to ArchiCAD. -nidas
  8. hi people, i have some texture libraries that are .LWI files. these are probably in LightworkDesign format. is there any way to convert them to any popular formats? on Lightworks site i read about .LWA files that are protected, .LWI -the same? thanks, nidas
  9. Arkitec, how do you deal with multiple .3ds files created by FZ? merge them all the time in MAX? I'm not 3DS MAX user btw.. n.
  10. 3DS is format you should use, i guess?... But can you experienced formZers explain why it creates multiple .3ds files, how to create single 3DS file? - nidas
  11. hi STRAT, this time i can't be of any help, probably. I heard there is add-on software for LT that add LISP support. But it has to be confirmed, that ExpressTools will work with it. And if it's look worth of purchase, you will also need to purchase ExpressTools as they are not free (or get'em from other source? nidas

I hear it's better to use Photoshop RPC plugin to place RPC people into rendered scene - it's faster and you have better control (add/remove, move/rotate RPC's untill you have the best composition, no need to re-render the scene) Or even better to use new 3.0 release of Piranesi software which now supports RPCs. It's unique file format includes 3D information of 2D scene, so you can have RPCs cast correct shadows on other objects in scene (on stairs for example). all not tested in practice by myself. Ain't got commercial RPC's and no time to make my own. -nidas
