  1. looking good. nice ilghtning. maybe, like birdman said, some IES would be nice. Try to desaturate your textures, this way they will blend together. in tha last image: How the receptionist ill go to his/her workspace? and are you sure about the proportion of the door?
  2. I suggest you to read a lot of architectural photography books/mags. Study the light and the composition and try to understand the process of what make an image interresting (color, composition, light/shadow) You begin to control the technic, now time to develop your artistic eye!
  3. waaa, awsome work 1- cool design but wacth the tlling of the concrete wall. 2- Superb...my favorite, The only little thing is the jonction of the right wall at the ceiling. I love your sofa in front, so realist. 3- not so much in my taste BUT the work on the central column and the beams are stunning. The people at front seem a little off. all nice works edit: I didn't saw the video first time. It's great but the music is too much imho. You cameras movements are great and dynamic but the scene are too plastic in animation. however, it's a very good work overall and I prefer your stills! cheers
  4. get vue Xsteam and render with max/mental ray
  5. prretty useful, thanks to share. I'll post the result of my tests
  6. I personaly prefer to use the Sweep modifier: Much more control and more stable.
  7. there is some pictures. unfortunatly, my processor is down for the moment, I can't make new renders, theses are quites olds. hope this help
  8. some times ago I had to model the Bertoia Diamond Chair. I finaly made a simple plane with a sufficient amount of tesselation, select edges in one direction, add sweep modifier then the other direction and move on Z axis to made some junction of the mesh. work pretty well
  9. The vignetting option is in the VrayPhysicalCamera. Don't know wich version your are using but if you have the lastest it's should be there.
  10. Wow, great improvement. Nice details on building, nice lightning effect and the camera angle is much more interresting than some of your earlier works, congrats. You should lower the vignetting, are you using the VrayPhysicalCam Vignetting option(you should not go over 1 in most of the cases). The background is too much saturated. Try the same but less agressive. Except for the tree at left, the plants are also too saturated. hope to see the fully texturated version soon Nice to see your pogress.
  11. wow, amazing works. If I really must to crits something ( ) I would say the light trails in the last shot are too much for this daylight intensity. keep it up
  12. Hi, we got Onyx for a little while but for the first time we have to make larges trees, around 15/20 meters high. 1- It's seems I can't get nice result under 2/3 milions polys so OK, I'll use Vray Proxies anyway. 2- Since Onyx export as separate objects, in this case around 70, I must attach them in max to get a Multi/Sub Mtl to get all the textures in the Vray mesh 3-to not run out of memory in the attach list process, I must attach them 5 object at the time. So all this make think about my pipeline onyx/max/proxy. Is it correct or there is a better(more efficient) way. thanks
  13. Hi I am playing with a VrayHDRI in the environment slot to get nice reflection and illumination. It seems that I can't get the right scale of my image with VrayHDRI and each time I render, the environment only display a cropped part of the original image. This make my reflections completly wrong. Am I missing something here?
  14. be sure you get a good tripod http://www.manfrotto.com/Jahia/site/manfrotto/cache/offonce/pid/2278?livid=68&lsf=68&child=2
  15. I just prefer the cintiq. It more intuitive because it's like painting directly on the paper. I don't said tablet are not good, just that I prefer it. yes, it's 'just' a table with a screen, 100% agreed. I just wanted to say that I love it, don't force you to buy one.
