1. I figured to use polygons with light material, renders right and faster.
2. hit render, switch gi method to brute force, hit render again and compare
3. yes, mr has 'plane lights'. Lights in all examples are same size, I not idiot. Am I only one who is having that problem? It is obvious in every render of every scene.
4. I noticed recently that vray's area light shades curved surfaces in really ugly and wrong way. Here is pic. 1. VRay render. 1 Rectangle VrayLight, Brute Force GI, 3 bounces. 2. Same set up exept for Progressive pathtracing mode. 3. Mental Ray render. 1 Sky Portal, brute force Final Gather. Please note transition between light and dark.
5. wtf? specular? that material has zero reflectivety on them
6. I have raised aQMC min value from 1 to 2 and it got rid of some light leaks but not all
7. look people , image sampling has Nothing to do with GI quality, nor I need Detail Enhancement, cuz I get all detail I need. The problem is light leaks and flickering between frames. Cmon.
8. So I have scene with ( I think) pretti tight gi samplin, but still I get crazy artifacts.
9. Is it possible to rendrer 360 spherical HDR out of Vray
10. you should check "affec shadow" option in material, will give you sort of "fake" caustics
11. thanks Chris! I tried your advise, quality got alot better ,but still theres little bit of noise I also have problem with ati-aliasing VrayLights, sometimes edges and speculars are totally jagged.
12. well here LC version, there is still noise above and below wingow and in reflections:(. IR setting are -4/-1 or -3/-1
13. Hi all, Im new on this forum, and it seems very helpfull and usefull. Enyway recenty I started having promblem, my images are very noisy
