  1. Hi all, I am approaching to a design of a scenography....I need just some ispiration...could anyone suggest me any 3d/2d interesting enviroment illustrations? any links? None of "spacy" ones, they don't suite the theme...fantasy enviroment or abstract or "dreamlike" are suitable! Let me know : Giulio
  2. Which is on your opinion the best choice for Architecture modelling? and Why? Hope to hear a lot..
  3. A simply great software, looking user friendly, easy to use, increasing the project managment process...and much more... but...just an exception....! Even if, as someone has already noticed, its 3d modelling tools are useful being parametric, it has some lack exploiting the MASS ELEMENTS tools...in fact in most cases the standard extrusionS and revolveS with union e substract are sufficient but nowdays is very easy engaging in organic shapes and structures( for example creating a glass roofs with organic structure) ..thereby there isn't any chance to import 3d model from other software (a lack on drawing format exchange too excluding dwg) and to integrate it in the whole Revit project process converting for examble solids in walls..roofs etc.. or linking fills in section detail or plans etc.. Other software has already similar capabilities such as Microstation Triforma (it has got a surface modeller too...a great thing) or are provided with interesting plugin as for ADT who can import SkectchUp drawing and convert his elements in AEC parametric elements. for example take a look at http://sketchup.com/ADT/ADT_videos.php I have a dream....improving soon the Revit 3d modeller with more cool and useful feature for Architecture! Waiting 4 ur opinion Regards Giulio
  4. Yes.. I was meaning to convert the solid first in mass element and then in aec elements! ADT2004 has this options....but do you know if it work fine? Is the origanry geometry respected during the conversion? Have you ever tried to do something? Regards Giulio
  5. Hi all, do you know if I create a 3d model with standard autocad tools or importing in adt2004 any 3dmodel from a dwg file, I will be able to convert the geometry in standard AEC elements, such as walls and slabs? How does it work? where Can I find more about this topic? Regards Giulio
  6. Hi All, I never used Archicad..but I really know Revit; my question is about the 3d tools capability of Archicad; Revit has an elementary 3d model system with which you can on 97% of cases do all the work but sometime with a very waste of time...and then if you're involved on some organic form...the game is really over There are not surface tools, neither particular sweep solids and much more...just the traditional linear or tapered extrusion and a revolve tool. (Anyway the most interesting thnig a 3dparametric software is then, once created the model, to convert the solid..in architecture elements) What can Archicad do? Which tools are supported? Any link to watch more about? Thank you, Giulio
  7. Hi All, I already read the forum's message about a vray exterior scene ..and I 've the same problem but even if I set up as you suggested to the other user I can not succeed in obtaining a skydomed scene. What I need is less light since it appears whashed out...but at the same time I'd like to render the sunlight rays (the parallel one) with the ray bounces of radiosity. Is it possible? maybe I wrong something in the lights...what sort of light should I set up? and How? Thank you, Giulio HERE THERE IS THE IMAGE http://www.cgarchitect.com/forum/filepush.asp?file=filepush_4.jpg
