  1. Rogue3D Chaos tells me that only 2.0 supports Nitours but actually the bug we wer discussing here was only fixed in 2.2 which was release last week. I ordered my upgrade today. Nir
  2. Ken Actually - if I go to the map itself )in the MEDIT) and press the "show map in viewport" - it does ! but then I go tho the viewport menu and check the Materials >> Shaded Materials with Maps and BOOM - it is gone. Sounds to me like ADESK is the one to fix it... Could it be an issue with the menu itself ? I am trying to create a macroscript to deal with it . BTW most of the people doing VIZ use Vray - ADESK should support us as well. NIR
  3. I have finally decide to move from Max Design 2011 to 2012 but Cannot see my materials in the viewport. Even after insatllaing SP2 and the advanced pack - nothing changed. I am using Vray and my hardware is quite capable ( GTX285 with 1.56 gigs RAM) my PC is I7 8 cores + 24 gigs of RAM. Any ideas ? Will ADESK find a solution ? NIR
  4. Since my first post I moved to Win7 and also Upgraded to max 2011 Max 2009 works fine on Win7 (at least for me) Maybe it has to do with the graphics card? Nir
  5. Hi Does anybody know what are the chances of MAX 2009 running OK in the new W7 ?? AuutoDESK announced that 2010 is compatible but I still use 2009. Nir
  6. Spacelord I am using 64 bit systems , although only using 4 gigs of RAM on each. Nir
  7. I converted to Vray last June and am very happy with this move. BTW - the other MR shaders are not supported - ProMaterials do not work. Also - MR memory management sucks. It crashes too many times too be usefull with big models.
  8. Not to mention the support for Arch&Design shaders !
  9. I tried the demos and am a bit disappointed as I don't see any TRUE amazing feature. PROmats are nice but I suspect they take longer to render. SplineUVs is too much time consuming for a simple uv-spline mapping. render buffer is nice but addes too much screen estate to my already "cluttered-while-rendering" screen- I could do without it, sorry. Only thing that I liked is the IES enhancments. Contrary to what was insinuated - the UI in MAX DEsign is the same as MAX and they did not change it. NIR
  10. Thanks for the quick reply. Well, I don't have access to ZAP , except for his blog. :-( Nir
  11. Jeff Could you add this solution to your original post on your blog (and expand on it) ? I had the same problem, although I did not try to solve it. BTW - How do you know what you know about MR ? Regards Nir
